Version 2 of my other recording of this. It has an added atmosphere but don't know if would sound alright to others. I found out this effect was the result of artifacting one of
My tracks which bled into another track. I think this gave this version such a unique and cool sound that really brings all the sounds “together”.

When recording back in the day with bands they would use microphones to record themselves and they would often bleed into other microphones causing the sound that you hear and most rock songs made back in the day.

After listening to the both several times, the accidental artifact give the recording a certain feel I can’t put my fingers on, but it works. I really like how that accident made this sound because it gives it that feeling of being more “full”. Would you agree?

I recorded the guitar while singing on one track. During one of my vocal overdub process I mistakenly did not have headphones plugged in. So the monitor was coming out of speakers which in turn bled the sound of that track bleed into my microphone which I was also using to do my overdubs.
This is an artifact effect that most bands in the 60s and 70s had in their recordings, which is said to add a needed “sloppyness” and “sound bleed wall” effect that made recordings of those times different than the perfect recordings of the present.

NICE! Did not know of this Crickets, sans Buddy Holly tune. Yeah, it's such a balance between no-fi, lo-fi, and on the other end just the bonkersness off overproduced stuff. Even when I am trying my best to get good recordings and I have in the past, (not right now...) it is such a crap shoot for me, which is why in my frustration I have been doing these no-fis for a few years now. KEEP EXPERIMENTING!!!!
