Lyrics:
Call her Caroline, I know, I know
That she'll be waiting for me down the line...
Call her Caroline
She knows she's the only thing that's on my mind...
All I know is that I love her
There's nothing as simple as that
She mended this weary body with just her embrace...
The others may be fine, I know, I know
But she's the only one I'll ever call mine...
Our love's a different kind
Darling, we're just not the type for valentines...
But everyone knows that I love her
There's nothing more beautiful than that
My broken spirit was healed by the smile on her face...
All I know is that I love her
There's nothing as simple as that
She mended this weary body with just an embrace...
As we grow older, walking hand in hand
Down life's corridors together...
There's just no other, who could understand
That I'm as changeable as the weather...
Except for Caroline...
Yea my Caroline...
Yea my Caroline...
Oh yes. It's honestly like a town of zombies man. I've noticed a dramatic change in the people I see when I go for a walk to get coffee or something. Also, I just realized this is an older version of this song. I rerecorded it (still sans bass) recently
I have a friend (70+) whos daughter died of an overdoes, that was the the inspiration for this song: https://www.feed-forward.net/w.6338_Six_Miles_Deep -- looking forward to the bass-heavy version. Big Bossa sound?
Thats very interesting to hear the backstory. I remember this track. Hmm a bossa version of Six Miles Deep does sound aurally intriguing. I will keep you posted :)
Thank you Kode of Bliss. I recently rerecorded this one for a solo album I am working on. I think that recording gets an edge over this one. I only had one mic handy here, so made mixing difficult as it was all one take (I am a one take wonder aka lazy producer).
