Really short song that I wrote. Playing around with spoken word over music.

Look out, back track
You should know what they've been saying bout that
No good, gone bad
Consider all the fun times that you had

Shake down, it'll never last
It's just a night uptown,
he wore his suit and vest,
she wore her finest gown

but it'll never last
she's got a drink in her hand
and she's been eyeballing him since the opening band

Have another glass
he will gladly assist
and one drink at a time make their way towards a kiss
and from that moment on, well the night's just a blur
she dissolves into him
he dissolves into her

The night was young and we were too,
and it seemed like a fairy tale
the way you showed the world to me
My words can only fail

Ever after seemed so close
I had it in my midst
I didn't really understand that thing

So when it struck me, it hit hard
and I just couldn't take it
I turned and ran as long and far
and my legs could make it.

Everything's so different now
but time's been slowly mending
I'm finally looking forward to
a different kind of ending

Cool lyrics. I like the background sounds during the spoken word part.

Rex Yehudi (shoham) gave feedback to Xack Fischer for “Back Tracks”:
Simple. Minimalistic. I like the concept, and I don't think that it is too short at all.

I also enjoyed the little harmonies that you have going on from the middle onward.

I did this spoken word type of thing once or twice and I think yours works very well, I like how there is rhyming, which for me makes spoken word more engaging. I don;t think it is short at all, though. Very good in terms of length.

Thank you and good to hear from you again old friend!
