Gabrielle gave feedback to David Samuel Partamian for “The Entertainers”:
This one is good and strange. I like the lady's weird old-fashioned hair. I think the grey tones and shadows are simple and effective in giving a creepy mood.

Nicely done! I love the snake-like appearance of the arms & legs of the guy wearing the black suit.

Thank you very much.. I really tried to make them as expressive as possible without having to show their faces))

There's really A LOT to this one, man! Is it new? It's the first one of your pieces I've sen with the characters *not* facing the audience.

Are the conspiring, or mourning the decline of their influence. Somehow, I am *cautiously* optimistic about what might be going on here. But of course no one in power ever gives it up without a fight. I need a 'love' button.

It's actually one of my only paintings without at least one character facing the observer - instead, they are facing an audience, such as there is. It's an oldie, my last one was The Tainted, after that I'm still in search for inspiration for a new painting.. Thank you very much for the comment, by the way))
PS Since I try to put meaning into my paintings, as well as certain emotions and atmosphere, it takes much longer to imagine a painting than to paint - the irony, eh?))

Sometimes it's like the for me with songs, too. Before I have the concept fully formulated, I can't really right the song. Once the idea is in place, usually the song comes out pretty quickly.

Exactly! And if you try to force it, the result is usually quite disappointing..

Yeah, but I think that it's better to force it than not to try it at all, which I've been guilty of too...
