Been working on this for a good long while. Finally have it "finished," although I'll probably add more to it so it's a finished work in progress. I bounced the first section to cassette tape and I'd like some feedback on that. I wanted to try and provide some direction to the song, going from this crappy tape saturated mess to more clean sounds at the end.

Rex Yehudi (shoham) gave feedback to Badabinski for “Damn Headphones”:
Pure madness/genius! So this is the culmination of "Proof of Concept", then????

PS: Do you use a piano roll for something like this, or just mess with waes, frequencies, or some combo? Thanks.

Some of it was piano roll, and some of it was just messing with waveforms and the like. That whole thing at the beginning was me tuning a synth way down and then saturating it and doing a whole bunch of other stuff. I sampled it, and when I went from the stuff bounced to tape to the pure digital stuff I slowly faded in some amplitude modulation. That was a piano roll, but it used a sample as the instrument.

Very nice my friend! Very nice, indeed -- I'm trying to start composing digital music, so all the insight I can get I will take, and I also took a copy of "Damn Headphones" -- spend it on some girl -- for uncle showie.
