8 ½ x 11 acid-free paper.
I would pick 10-12 various colored papers (standard size) and then mix a specific acrylic paint color that I like and put some of that color on most of the pieces of paper using a painting knife or a brush in a very free flowing expressionist manner.
Then I would mix another wonderful color and do it again and maybe more as I feel it needs.
Once dry, I’d look at them (even with a mirror and upside down) and decide how to embellish them with ink and color pencil. Doing these is so much fun and I hope it shows. I also enjoy the incompatibility between the actual media I use. You can’t paint over prismacolor pencils, and you can’t color with prismacolor pencils on dry acrylic paint.

You've got an impressive and distinct style, complete with your choice of colors and forms, and I must say - it's quite impressive.
