Rough mix. I would love some specific feedback on how I can improve the mixing in this track, although feedback on anything else would be greatly appreciated.

This is a pretty cool piece. I liked a lot of the tone selections you chose and or created. I'm not an expert in mixology, but I would say that the main thing that could spice this up a bit would be a little more more syncopation in the piece. Specifically in the drums, I think. That can be a tough balance, especially if you're trying to keep everything together. Thanks for sharing, -Ari

Hmmm. I think the mix sounds pretty good. Perhaps eq the bass to just as low but less shaky. it feels like if I turned it up in my car it would start to rattle and get cluttered. You could also make all the ambient doodle bop noises pan hard left or right or pan FROM left to right. Or you could even keep most things panned near the center for the first 2 minutes or so and then the part that comes in around 2:20 make things start to pan hard left and right so it feels like a big punch in the balls followed by a gust of wind at hyper-speed. Overall I think it sounds pretty cool how it is.

Thanks for the constructive criticism man! I love it when people really dig in and tear stuff apart. I definitely agree with the bass - this was my first time really attempting to mix my songs and I didn't realize that you should save that space for kick drums or else your bass will get too rumbly. That's a great idea about the panning as well. I didn't really have enough variation there, and I wish I did. Unfortunately, the project file died with my old laptop so I won't be able to go in and change stuff, but I can always take critique forward to other songs. Thanks a ton!

I really like the intro and when the bass synth comes in... Great stuff. I felt the tempo was a tad slow after the first drop. Your kick drums sounds a bit flat, you should add some punch perhaps sidechain compress to the bass. With a little mastering this could really shine.
