A nice relaxed one here, sometimes I find it so hard to break away from my work and just chill out, so I wrote a song to remind me how beautiful it is outside : )
Again, vocal delivery could probably be better, will try it again in all due time. Any feedback/constructive criticism very welcome to help me improve.

Lyrics:
You know you can relax now, now the day is done
As we drift to the horizon with the setting sun

Lay here with me in kaleidoscope dreams
Let our bodies be soothed under the warm sun beams

Majestic birds gliding in the sky
Recline in comfort as we watch them fly
Our open minds, so easy to please
Mesmerised by a feather on the breeze

A delicate dash across a stepping stone
To rest on the rocks of nature’s own throne
Sitting in peace, doing nothing at all
Our minds cleansed watching the clear waterfall

You know it's beautiful,
Why don't you come out to play?
No chores left to do
On a day like today
Take your time, no need to rush
On this summer Sunday
We couldn't get much higher
On a day like today

Walk a while through this golden field
You be my wisdom and I'll be your shield
Rest a while to share bread and wine
Your sun-kissed eyes make your smile shine

Lay here with me in kaleidoscope dreams
Let our bodies be soothed under the warm sun beams

Watching fluffy animals escape from the zoo
Tracing their outlines in the great big blue
Your rainbow is my staircase to the sky
We couldn't be higher, now we've learnt to fly

You know it's beautiful,
Why don't you come out to play?
No chores left to do
On a day like today
Take your time, no need to rush
On this summer Sunday
We couldn't get much higher
On a day like today

Couldn't get any higher
No we couldn't get any higher today
Couldn't get any higher
No we couldn't get any higher today
Couldn't get any higher
No we couldn't get any higher today
Couldn't get any higher
No we couldn't get any higher today

Lay here with me in kaleidoscope dreams
Let our bodies be soothed under the warm sun beams

Lay here with me in kaleidoscope dreams
Let our bodies be soothed under the warm sun beams

I had not heard this tune in a while, if at all. I like the xylophone -- is it a real one? Good harmonies throughout, as well.

Are you working on anything new these days...

Good lyrics as well.

Thanks,
Shoham

Hey Shoham,
Thanks man! I think I could sing this tune better now, but this isn't a bad version. Unfortunately not a real xylophone, just one from my music software, but it sounds pretty good.
As it happens, yes I'm working on a few new tracks at the moment, I've posted a couple to www.soundcloud.com/patternbreak - there's a silly one about falling in love with a prawn, and a catchy one called "Not Coming To Work Today" which I think you might like.
How's things with you? Been working on anything new lately?

All the best,
Sam

Hehe, yeah I rode my push bike into a parked van one night after a few too many drinks, and smashed my lip into the bonnet! Ouch!! The title and hook are inspired by Hendrix, "Scuse me while I kiss the sky!"

Christie Grinham gave feedback to Pattern Break for “Kaleidoscope Dreams”:
Really like it. Nice rhythm and feel. My only criticisms would be that the vocals are a bit dry and the toms are panned a bit too wide for my liking. Great track though!

Positive, tight.

The vocal harmonies need a bit of pitch work.

I like :-)
