a new song.

Anythings cool if you sing it right
Need a car to hold you tight
somethings in my eye
oh can you see?

Gods swinging from the family tree
music burns lets drink the sea
i'd be nice
If you left some shit for me

My generations full of shit
shut the fuck up, get over it
dig that hole
its not too dark down here

Damned men for love n' such
Mother fucker still oohs me lunch
stick stuck shuv it

Please take me home with you
please help me shake the blues
Im drowning and i cant see the surface
Im dyeing and cant find a purpose

Look ma i can write with no talent
listen close i almost have it
im not gonna let gods child
rape me

well fuck me, fuck you, fuck the government
doin this just for the love of it
gonna sing my ass off
till i die

Im running out of words to say
I have no mind just give me pay
Im gonna roll right off this rock

Via Coma gave feedback to platypus for “Bi-Polar”:
The vocals surprised me after hearing the guitar intro, but that's a good thing! You have a fun to listen to singing voice, did you record this live with the acoustic guitar? Or did you record the guitar separately? If you want some minor feedback I would say try recording guitar first to a metronome as there were some (maybe intentional?) hard tempo fluctuations going on, but ultimately it sounded good and fun! I enjoyed listening through the whole thing, and I thought it was pretty good!

Thanks, you make me feel good inside! The guitar and vocals are recorded at the same time, on my laptop mic. I'm fixin to delete all this stuff and add my new songs with better quality.

Semi-Protein gave feedback to platypus for “Bi-Polar”:
Kind of reminds me of the black crows in compositions, but I think that some better equipment could really help make this a really solid tune.

I'm guessing you used one microphone, and recorded the voice and guitar at the same time amirite?

ya you nailed it. We recorded this at the same time. Also i don't think it helped that I moved around when i sang. We will be recording some new stuff with better quality when i move out of my girlfriends and to my own house and get a nice mic. But Thanks!

The Middlemen gave feedback to platypus for “Bi-Polar”:
Very decent lo-fi sound. I would say maybe re-record the guitar percussion in the middle- a bit choppy, but otherwise I think that this is pretty solid--

I like solo singer songwriter stuff. I write most of our songs that way, but I wish that I had the confidence to play guitar and sing at the same time. Keep at it :D

This is actually me (vocals) and my roommate (guitar). Thanks for the feedback. Happy holidays, and ya everyone says we need better quality, I am but a po' college student.

Word. I've got a philosophy about this time of year-- eat as much bread as you like. That's the way our ancestors would have wanted it, and if they didn't want us to have it better than them then f*ck 'em...
