About me: |
✎ Edit
I live in Northern Colorado, USA. Photography is something that I am passionate about. She has dragged me out of the borrow ditch, set me up on the side of the road to dry off, more times than I really want to remember. I think that I am sputtering into a time of greater creation than where I have been in the not to far, distant, past. At times, I feel that I can write. Some, of which, might be a little private to air out, here. Some, I might risk, here, among those that I can already call friends. Let time decide that for us. A lot of what I do, and it seems there is a fair amount of magnetism pulling on me in that direction, is abstract, or it may seem at first glance to be that. No matter what I am shooting, I am usually looking at it through, "strange looking at", glasses. There is always a weird way to look at something. It might be that one must be, "weird", in order to always see things in that light. Some have indicated to me that the former, might, well, be true. Macro imagery is another favorite of mine that you will see quite a lot of. Plants, bugs, dirt, moss, seed pods, cow pies, bark, wormy wood, flowers, the insides of flowers, would denote a few of those in that category. Motion may be my favorite of all techniques to do. Take a look at "Creamello Blue" that is here, on feed-forward. The look of this image was created combining the motion of the subject and the motion of the camera, as well. I would like to add, "it is not just because I can't hold the camera still." I was fortunate to have favorable lighting, cooperating subjects, a good hand, and a whole lot of luck, that evening, as several photographs were taken that were pleasing to, at least, my eye. And, the answer to your question is, "No, I don't get an image that looks like that every time", but I try to do so, a lot of the time, and every once in a while, my trying pays off. At least to my eye, it does. JZC has a composite up here of FF that is really cool. I like to do composites as well as strange lights, cars, or the camera in motion. Much like those of Alice-Yael's work. When people view my work, I want a discussion to develop over what the subject might actually be or as to how a certain look was created.
I haven't seen or even heard anything here on Feed-Forward that I don't like. Everyone is so nice and supportive. This is a cool place to come show your wares. So, Everyone! Come on! Let's get busy, doing just that!
