Gremlin  ✎ Edit

Location: Carl Sagan's Cosmos ✎ Edit
About me:
✎ Edit Kirk Gremlin: all vocals, instruments, and production.

Influences: Low, Ryan Adams, Neil Young, Gram Parsons, Westerberg, Tortoise, Jobim, Charles Mingus, Harry Nilsson, Jackson Browne, Velvets, hip hop, lots of metal from Cinderella to Pantera, and pretty much any electronic and alt-country I can find.
I know a lot of those don't come through really, but they give me ideas, and inspire me to pick up the guitar or sit behind a keyboard.

I appreciate you stopping by for a listen. Hope the day (or night) finds you well, wherever you are.

All tracks are available for free. I will upload some more demos in the future. : )

My News:

Rex Yehudi (shoham) gave feedback to Gremlin for “The One Who Waits”:
Guitar sounds especially strong -- have you been practicing your scales, YOUNG MAN???!!!!

I dig the effect on the vocals as well. Is this just regu_grem or sleeping_ships?

Haha I have not man. Unfortunately I’ve had the flu, then a sinus infection, and now am dealing with fungal infection due to my wrecked immune system. Just been compiling some recordings for a vault release since I’m not well enough to actually record or play at the moment and this is one I uncovered. This was an intended sleeping ships jam but bandmate felt it didn’t fit with the last album so we left it off. Just been sitting on hard drive til now. I like the herky jerky middle section best. How have you been man?

Gabrielle gave feedback to Gremlin for “A Cowboy's Dreams”:
It sounds like the title. Maybe not specifically a cowboy, but definitely a dreamy sound. I like this group of songs, and I hate electronic music usually-too repetitive/annoying.

Not familiar with this film! thanks for the egg of knowledge there.

The cowboy is more a metaphor for the rather spanishy guitar sounds I was into at the time
