About me:
✎ Edit Man Holding Lantern began as the brainchild of Todd Ciepluch and Tony Gash. Very quickly they started writing songs, however Todd Ciepluch did not remain in the group very long. Less than two months after co-creating the project, Todd decided to split off to pursue his own musical endeavors.

Man Holding Lantern went quiet for three and a half years. Until January 30th, 2011 when Tony dusted off his computer and released a six track album entitled “Edited To Perfection”. It was always the plan to title the first M.H.L. album “Edited to Perfection”, and with Todd’s blessing, Tony was able to follow through with that dream.

The support from Man Holding Lantern, however, started long before the album was formed. Even before the project had a name, Tony Gash worked on many unpublished electronic works. Though the works went unpublished, Tony gathered a lot of support and encouragement from his friends and family. After Todd left the duo, Tony continued working on his side projects. After almost three years, he was ready to step back into the spotlight.

My News:

Great poly-rhythms, friend! What are you using to make these tracks? It didn't say in the description.

Has somewhat of an 80's feel to it. I would love to get a download.

Thanks for sharing,

The Kapitols gave feedback to Man Holding Lantern for “Dream Cycle”:
Since this is a site focused on positive criticism, I have to say I was expecting a strong melodic "solo" towards the end, but there is none.

Great work, lots of fun stuff to listen to in this piece. Enjoyable listen, worth listening to again. Cool percussion rhythm starts at ~3:00.

I like the arpeggios that are going all the time and how they interact with the stuff you put over them.
