Rex Yehudi (shoham) gave feedback to Richard Shekari for “Smile”:
Hey Richard,

I was having some keyboard trouble this weekend and couldn't get it fixed because of the holiday (4th of July).

I think the overall sound is much richer this way, but I feel as if the track could benefit from a live drum track instead of a programmed one, in my opinion. Especially because it has the religion theme and I associate that with more of a live drum sound. -Shoham

yeah i guess you are right, well out here we don't get that lucky to roll live drums etc so we use what's available and as you know, this type of concept is new to me. i am a rapper who tries to sing his own chorus mostly circular kind of tracks but this song "smile2 is sort of a new approach that's why you hear the voice so deep plus, i would have loved to voice it with a calm tone in order to get the type of feel i had when rehearsing but as i got into the booth, they kept saying i am so low so do not know if it was their instrument or that i didnt try harder. thanks for the honest review

Well, working w/other musicians is tricky. Are you saying that there art not too many drummers in your city? If you get a shot at working with one, beware, they sometimes cannot control their volume........ hint ;) -Shoham
