I Like it Rawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

Lyrics:
Katie Lapinski was a 7th generation ping-pong pusher
And baby she told me, you that you can’t quite make a living,
But that that couldn’t stop her

Well, she was a slinger, and a beggar on the side
But she never lost her pride

Noooo Ohohoh
Better kept on the inside
Don’t you know? Ohohoh

And I ain’t saying that I ain’t sympathizin’
But when you look into my heart through my eyes and
You’re telling me, that I better get risin’

Well, maybe I’ve got a roll
And Maybe I’ll Play it

Well, Our lady, of 200th generation of
The Sister’s of Sarah
Well I can’t tell you just what she means to me
‘cause she ain’t gone just yet
But I’ve got some feeling, I’d better learn how to show

Or maybe she’ll never know
Or, maybe I’ll never know

And I can’t say that I can’t understand,
But when you look down to my soul through my hand, and
You’re tellin’ me, I should be just a bit more demanding,

Well maybe I’ve got to,
And maybe it’s time to,
And maybe I need to

Thanks, Ryan! We recorded it directly into a Mac and did this one on GarageBand-- it was a one-taker. I like the energy on it, myself. It's a free download, if you're interested. Thanks again, -Shoham

sharp five augment on that turn around is cool. didnt think it'd work at first. for as much as i enjoy the song over all, its kind stupid catchy in a good way.
my question is how are you recording the guitar? is it direct in? cuz presence sounds really high..

This was direct in. Just a rough draft, though I can't find our album version. That said-- here's a more polished one if you're interested:

No problem, man. I wrote this tune in Bangkok about 6 yrs ago, and was originally going for a Counting Crows vibe, but 'Way lead on to way', as they say....

I think you might need to get a pop filter for your microphone so you don't have all those popping P's and hissing S sounds, unless of course that was intentional.

A better microphone might really help you improve the quality of your recording ten fold without doing anything differently.

You can buy an amazing microphone with a filter and stand for $100.

Thanks! This was definitely a very raw version, and a 20 dollar mic going straight into an imac. We have some better recordings with better mics as well, but thanks for the recommendation-- probably could use another microphone as well. Looks like a good one. -Shoham
