Rockabye baby...

(C/Am G/G7-" F/F#/G)

Show me how
Show me how
I never knew before

I can see you're leaving me- before you slam that door...

Just show me how
Yes, show me- I won't bother you no more

Promises unspoken
Better left unbroken
Who have I been jokin' (no F#) anyhow?

I guess that I was dreamin, and I see I've been denied

I've lost before but you took more than just my foolish pride

You left me here with nothing dear- I'm waiting for the tide

G G7

To carry me away today unto the other side

I see you've got no need for me-
I'm not your kind of man

1st show me how,
Yes, show me how- I'll never ask again

F/G; F/G

Promises unbroken
Are better left unspoken anyhow...

......... + whistle ........

Anyways, awe ayway
I'm man enough to know

You've got somewhere else to be, I'd better let you go

But wait a while, little child, I can understand

I'll walk beside you- I won't even try to hold your hand

Don't worry, I won't name you
I don't mean to blame you
Never tried to tame you (No F#) anyhow

Reminds me of Nirvana on their unplugged album mixed with some Grateful Dead. I like it.

RustyRedRecords gave feedback to The Closers for “Show Me How”:
This is a pretty nice song but you guys need to use a popper stopper when you record vocals because there is feedback issues with certain parts of the song. The whistling section especially. It's a nice touch but it's ruined by the feedback. You can make a homemade popper stopper if you don't want to buy one with a wire hanger some electrical tape and pantyhose. It's an old trick but it works just as good. Other than that nice work.

Thanks for the constructive feedback. Also, that's a nice logo. Where did you find it, or did you make it?

Love the voice and guitar tone, the mix is really enjoyable, well done! Great mellow tune, and the sounds is interesting enough and familiar enough to be something I could listen to again and again!

awesome tunes, reminds me of my last relationship I was left high and dry very stuck, but it didn't kill me so guess that means I'm stronger now and will be better some how some day.

Interpret gave feedback to The Closers for “Show Me How”:
The tone of your acoustic guitar kills me. I hate that plastic sound of directly plugging in most acoustic guitars. Everything else sounds great.

If you have the ability, i'd recommend mic-ing the guitar over going DI when recording. That is really just my preference though.

This is a fun cute song. Got the catchy whistling at the end. Great sounding voice. thanks for the song.

Thanks! You're welcome-- it's free too. Our mics suck most of the time, so that's why we did it that way, but yeah it's a good idea, so thanks. You used to have a different name, right or am I confused???
flag (May 13, 2011, 19:01 EDT)
I used to have my full name up here, but I have been wanting to use the name interpret for a long time. Why not start now? The name before was Matthew Abraham Torres.

Also, about the guitar sound (sorry if i'm talking too much about it), when I do live sound for shows, I run into the plastic sounding guitar a lot, and playing with the frequencies can typically bring about a better, nowhere near perfect, but better, tone.

Cool. The reason I mention it is because I got an email with a different name, and came to respond, but the name was different. Sounds like good advice-- I think that we did this using garage-band-- they probably have some way to mess with frequencies, right...?

I wish I knew. I have a crappy pc. My friend makes great music with her garage band, but I have no idea how she mixes it. Good luck though.

Gareth Wiecko gave feedback to The Closers for “Show Me How”:
Ha! At first I was going to say that the lyrics were a bit quiet, then I realised some other window opened up with some thrash in the background! After closing I got a completely different sound, I like it, nice easy listening, could do with a bit of piano givin' it some antiphony ;)
 May 05, 2011, 19:13 EDT
The Closers
Thanks! There is some piano, but it's not real. Sort of a rough draft, but my niece likes it :) Regarding "Already seen", I didn't think the piano sounded fake, I just wasn't sure as a lot of keyboard these days have such realistic tones. Thanks for the + feedback on this one, all of our tracks are free downloads.
