I've never seen a happy fly
My goal's become: before I die
To look an insect in the eye
And say: "Ah, that's your purpose!"

Mosquitos live a sorry life- They take and take and take all day.
They don't keep lesser bugs away.
I wonder: What's their purpose?

Awe, Lady Bugs are cute
I guess
They eat my fruit
And leave a mess
A Sharp rebuke
For sloppy guests-
I know not what's their purpose

Megatherian gave feedback to The Closers for “The Utilitarian Rag”:
The good: Leads were very strong, the song was very solid and well timed.
The not so good: mixing was a little strange sounding, felt like the vocals were almost hidden.
All in all though, a good track!

I think the vocals were OK -- we added an effect, but It could be a little better, I agree. Thanks for checking us out.

You're lips to God's ears. Wrote this one about 6.5 years ago, got this recording three years ago and still trying to get a good drum percussion track for it! That said, it's a free download, so if you can come up with anything, please do and bring it back! Would greatly appreciate it, and I know you're a basist, right :D

There's no hurry, but it would be awesome. And I'll give you the chords: Just F# for the verses, on those breaks it's F# to C (the devil's change) and then in the interlude we're looking at B-C-C# -- a straight chromatic for that one. It's a very simple song in a way, only tricky because of the F# to C hits which make it I think fun, but also trip me up sometimes. Ultimate blues power!!!! Would love to see what a real bass would sound like on this one!

I really like the production here. The sounds mesh together very nicely. I think the vocals could stand out a little more.

Hey, Cal. Thanks. I'm the vocalist, so I definitely appreciate the push for louder vocals :D This was kind of an experimental production, but yeah, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Thanks for listening, and for the feedback!

I know that song. Who are the closers? To be honest, I'm not sure I was ever a fan of the "screaming". Broke the vibe of the song IMHO, which is good. :)

"The Closers" were a band I started which I wrote this song for a few years back. Yeah, some people don't like it, but some do. I know Matt did -- it would need more keys w/o the screams, I think. Thanks. I think it's a free download, too!
