I really like the bass. It contrasts the guitar very well. I feel like if it was turned up a bit more it would fill out the mix nicely though.

Thank you. Sadly, the stems to this tracks seem to be lost to the ages :( Good ideas, though.

I always love your guys' stuff! What I will say is that the production quality/mix on this is a little off. I don't know how you're recording, so that doesn't really matter. I mean it sounds great if it was recorded on like a usb mic in someone's basement, but not great for a studio, you know?

Musically the only thing I would edit is the drum fill in the beginning when the drums come in. It's a little awkward.

Overall, great track! Love the 70s wah-wah guitar towards the end there!

Thanks! This was indeed recorded in something like you suggested. The year was 2002 XD Actually I don't like the way my voice is sounding on this at all, performance-wise. I know you're a really great producer. This is a free download. Anything you can do to it would be great, and maybe we could publish it as a collaborative project as a free download? Thanks, again. -Ari

I would be happy to, however, it may be a sort of 'polishing a turd' from a production stand-point. I could certainly make it a bit clearer, but the clearer it is, the more production quality faults you hear.

I could do much more if I had the individual stems, but since it was 2002, I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess you don't have them...

Yeah. No stems, no seed, but if you do want to do some kind of remix of one of our other less turdy recordings, that could be a fun project, too...

Nice intro

Not loving the album art

I can't stand music where I can understand what is being said. The music is too loud or the voice is to soft and unclear.. either way I can't hear what's being said.

Sorry, I wouldn't dance to this.

Awesome, groovy track. Like the many different riffs and melodies, doesn't become repetitive. Drums are magnificent, awesome playing and awesome production, guitar needs more punch in the mix, maybe double the guitar? Singer is good, sings clearly and can handle the harsh rock vocals as well as the gentle, clean vocals in the breakdowns.
I like!

Thanks guys! We're definitely always looking for suggestions for how to make our music production better. All of our tracks are set to be free, so take anything you like. I can't listen right now, but I'm looking forward to hearing some of your music. Also, we always feel like if someone wants to use some sample of our music, or remix it, we want to allow them to do that freely.

Thanks again!

I really really really fucking like this song, I'm gonna share the love with this one. No need to go into details as to why I like it, just take comfort from the fact that I was bopping around the kitchen making my bacon sarnie and repeated it twice :D

Louis Cai gave feedback to The Middlemen for “Don't Cut Me Out”:
-Really grooving beat!

-I like the variety of riffs used; the drumming is really solid.

- The Guitar solo was very nice, love the effect.

-One thing I might change is the melody for your "chorus" section. You might want to mix it up a little, maybe use more than two chords? It gets slightly repetitive when you alternate between octaves. I would try and use an actual melody so the song will be more memorable.

Not a big thing though, Great work!

Thanks for the in-depth listen and response. Greatly appreciated. I wrote this one a few years back, so I hope that I've gotten better at mixing up my vocal lines a bit since then. It's a free download, as are all of ours, so feel free to take what you want :D People seem to really like "Keep In Touch". -Ari
