shiloh wangsgard gave feedback to DISCOVER for “Break through”:
This has a real Talking Heads feel. Was that on purpose?

Holy shit! Ask and you shall receive. First of all, thank you. Talk about a quick response. Most appreciated :)
Absolutely brilliant.
I love the confidence in your vocals. Really brings this song home.
You filled it out wonderfully.
I really like the "fire" at the end.
Awesome work!!

Oh yeah, and I am in Colorado and I'll let raumcole answer for himself :D
Such a great song, wow...

I write poetry, but most people find my stuff sad and depressing... I don't often share due to this.

Rex Yehudi (shoham) gave feedback to Raum for “"Claim" - Final Version”:
Noe THIS sounds like a Mccartney song - like from "Ram" PRODUCTION LIKE THIS...
 Aug 30, 2019, 07:51 EDT
Sing how that's one of my favorite top 15 albums I am going take that as a major compliment sir. Do you agree on the lead any baseline along with the ending lead during last 3 lines?
flag (Aug 30, 2019, 08:55 EDT)
It's also related to ram due to the fact that I am doing all the instruments and vocals just like Paul did on not album. Now that you've mentioned it I can for sure hear some ram influence coming out. I'm glad that this piece came together all right.

Raum gave feedback to Rex Yehudi (shoham) for “Up & Down”:
Been playing this song a lot recently to get smooth at it. Raum is ready to record a version of this fantastic song.

Very exciting. I didn't understand your questions about, 'claim'... Please expand...

It all sounds raw - in a good way. I just didn't want to misinterpret based on a typo. YOU'RE DOING IT!

The bass part could be better if I Spent the day get getting the groove down. I am however proud of the guitar solo along with the base walk that goes with the solo. Also I like how the ending turned out with the high pitched guitar playing high C and F to add alttle extra embellishment. Thank you Shoham.

Raum gave feedback to Rex Yehudi (shoham) for “This Means War”:
Your wording will always grasp me, the way you rhyme some of the words you do really reminds me of how McCartney would.

The song picks up at 2:00 and starts tension and anticipation. A suggestion of mine would be to take that and someone work it into the song a bit more, since the song already has a tense feeling to it, it seems only natural.

That is just my advice. Sounds great otherwise.

Maybe I would build in an extended hypertense instrumental? Thank you, amigo! I think this one could be produced in an industrial style as is... That might help too

really good cover. a classic!

Thank you :)

I myself wasn't satisfied with it probably due to forgetting to record to a click track because to lack of sleep.

Was also trying out some new recording techniques.

Yeah, I think JC is right about this one. The only thing I think you could touch up would be the guitar solo in the middle. Otherwise, it is a really nice take on a really great tune. I like the arabeque feel to it, as well as the little things you did to the vocal tracks. Thanks, -Shoham

I will be covering this tune soon. Its really grown on me.
 Aug 30, 2019, 06:50 EDT

I can't get over your production value on this one! Sounds like Tom Petty + Guns 'n' Roses = Petty Roses?

Also, send me the lyrics for "Claim", please when you get a minute. Thank you,

PS: Is that a new guitar? Smooth sound...
 Aug 25, 2019, 22:40 EDT
No new guitar. Its the Taylor 100 series i acquired about a yesr ago. She spoils me for sure. Going to restring hopfully today. Want lighter gauge strings so i can bend/bar easier and for a longer amount of time without my hand getting tired from the pressure.

Was actually thinking about stringing electric strings to her because a long time buddy i play with a lot does it and it really works out in many different ways.

Around 58" maybe add a woman's voice -- if you can find one... Even if just for the up and down parts from 58" on... Then from 1:56 on, add a clap track. Just some thought/notes...
 Aug 26, 2019, 08:29 EDT
I csn def getvm down with addingba clap track. Would fit the song well. Appru iste the sdvice as always, i e been listening and puttimg forth effort to work on the things youve suggeted. Just finished "Claim" last night. Added a lead as well as a bass line.

shiloh wangsgard gave feedback to Raum for “"Claim" - Final Version”:
The first thing I noticed is how much better it sounds now that you have it filled out.
The lyrics are so thought provoking in a way that I have not found often .
New and fresh is always great
Your softer background voice might be a bit too a thought.
Overall, great job
 Aug 29, 2019, 22:50 EDT
Appreciate the compliment on the sound. Getting levels and such is so difficult even after all these years of recording.

I wanted to make a song that sounds catchy but doesn't resonate the way it should until you actually listen and take in consideration of the lyrics. I'm trying to get more "out there" with my writing.

What are you thoughts on the solo, bass line, and the added guitar lead at the very end?
