Rex Yehudi (shoham) gave feedback to Mauricio Sosa for “art watching”:
It's genius. Post-Post-Post Modern art at its finest. A picture of someone taking a cell phone picture of someone else's(?) found(?) art. It's genius. Pure.

The key change at the "I never wanted this" was jolting and fun. Always good to keep the listener on their toes.

Ah Cambridge. Makes me miss bean town and Mass in general. Nice simple tune

keyboards sound like i'm sitting on a porch in Mississippi. i think you should build on them w/a solo somewhere in the arrangement.

It's a major 7 finish???

 Feb 07, 2016, 10:37 EST
possibly so? Everything is down a whole step, so its in b flat, but I play a standard C chord at the end with the exception that instead of fretting first fret on b string, I fret the third. Major 7 would be open I believe, so maybe some variant?

Haha Mississippi? really? interesting. Never been there so it's cool I can evoke a vibe of a place I am unfamiliar with

the overall goal of this one was like a pop-country style track, kind of a throwback to James Taylor/Jackson Browne stuff. I thought my guitar tone turned out well. Made it sound like a twangy strat on an old country record, when in reality its my gibson hollowbody lol

jeezuz, you guys keep getting stronger and stronger.

i like this reedy quality to your voice on this take. harmonies round it out.

let the people download the damned thing, you stingy son of a gun!

tasteful simple solo, too. coda works for me. fade-out: you read my mind. But it cuts out 10-15 second too soon.

thanks, shoham

Thank you sir. Actually I have pretty much written all the songs myself so far as Alex has hardcore writers block. Wrote this one in about 15 mins. Simple ones are quickest.

I will make them all downloadable once I finish mixing them and Alex lays the drum tracks down and everything.

Yea I was going to extend but wasnt sure. The finished version will have a longer fade out. Thanks for the continued input/support. Have any new tunes you've been working on?

i got a few but i never like my lo-fi until two years after posting and then i wish i could 'recapture the magic'....

I understand the feeling. I have some songs I posted on here 3-4 years ago I am tempted to revisit for one of the new albums I am recording. At same time I am afraid I wont do the original feel of the song justice

I'm starting to get into this style of 'postrock' as you call it. Drums sound nice. Is this with a live band or all samples?

Esp. enjoyed the weird little arpeggios around 2:45 in.

Who Won The War!?

Everything but the drums is live. The drums are layered samples, mostly from Chango Studios. Usually I'd use Steven Slate Drums but I've been having technical issues with it recently.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm glad you liked it!

Rex Yehudi (shoham) gave feedback to HitNation for “wongyae me (free Me)”:
Coming back to this piece a few months later, there is still something missing for me-- but it's not the lyrics. I do like the breakup around 2:20-2:30. Better thank I remembered. What do these lyrics mean?

Rex Yehudi (shoham) gave feedback to heavysounds for “bumshort”:
Bought a copy. Great beat. I've said it many times, but I really don't like the overuse of autotune coming out of African Music these days. I really like the all natural sounds and the harmonies of the traditional music!
