Very interesting. Do trees pursue happiness? My only suggestion is that the Master should say: "You got it!" at the end instead of "It is so"

They do! So do quarks, and Quark™, from Star TrekⒸ™® and quirky people as well... I'd go so far to say that proof of this pursuit is in the harmony that everything tends towards, and the discord that everything seem to try and avoid... Thank you for your query, and your recommendation. This is an FFCL work... If you'd like to collaborate that is........

Guess I'll have nightmares now that I had to look up Quark and see pictures. I can't believe he had a romance with Vash . . .

Oooh, a woman after my own heart... Well, she IS (or is it was -- maybe WILL BE) known for, uh shall we say "Getting Around..." Also, this is not Courtney Cocks (or is it...) As for Quark, he's a Firengi, and the ladies love, well you know what they say about a man with big ears...

very deep and will go down with all great philosophers writings. However, I need the cliffnotes....I'm not smart enough to, what I think you are saying is everyone is pursuing happiness?

Thank you! Strong praise indeed :) :) I think that the take-away is meant to be that if there is any REAL meaning in life than it can't be just for humans, and not even for animals, but for all things, including imaginary ones... Thank you, -Shoham

Nice advice!
 Sep 14, 2012, 08:48 EDT
thanks! I was having a conversation with someone and it just occured to me that we are always looking for the next thing to bring us happiness --the "if only" "when". it's the here and now, the little moments, that we need to remember and cherish. It's the singing in harmony with little kids and the joy on their faces, it's the little moments that we forget to enjoy waiting for the future happiness....

Gabrielle gave feedback to David Samuel Partamian for “2089”:
Reminds me of the book The Road by Cormac McCarthy. I like how this is almost a short story.

The Road is actually one of my favorite novels, as well as a major influence in everything I do. Thank you!
flag (Aug 16, 2012, 05:07 EDT)
Oh, cool. I can't say The Road is one of my favorite novels, only because it made me too sad! It was obviously well written, in my opinion, because it had a major emotional effect on me-almost traumatizing.

Well, that's the downside of a good novel - you can't just take it easy)

Rex Yehudi (shoham) gave feedback to David Samuel Partamian for “2089”:
It's a good one! I'm a big fan of futurism, even bleak futurism. This one really reminds me of the movie "Metropolis", you've probably seen it?

Things seem better in the future on some levels but sad overall. I think you'd like this song I did a few years ago with an old band of mine called "The Closers", called "Lolly" similar themes:

Don't stop thinking about tomorrow!

Thank you. It's hard to play live sometimes, esp. with a band, bc it's deceptively simple, but I think we got a really good take this time. Can you get in trouble for publishing the Star Wars book? Or was it for fun?
flag (Aug 16, 2012, 07:52 EDT)
David Samuel Partamian
Well, I think you do need some licencing if you really wanna publish an SW book, but since the first take was for fun, it didn't much matter to me. However, I'm currently working on the English version of the same SW novel, with which I might try to get all the proper stuff, you know
