Rex Yehudi (shoham) gave feedback to The Closers for “Show Me How”:
This doesn't suck*! Seriously though, folks. The vocals are very smoky, I can say like this??? Needs a mouse-hair more bass-line...

"Show Me How"?!?! More like "SHOW ME THE KARMA!"!

I liked the anti-utopian feel to the lyrics, as well as the grungy sound. Thanks for the great song!

I totally agree with JZC, another awesome 80's-type track! I also liked the little bit of what I think was an Indian flair at the start.

I can definitely hear the Robert Smith influence on this one -- and that's definitely a good thing :D

I would love to hear some vocal harmonies one this track, too!

Thank you.

Ian Marquis
Thank YOU.

I've really been hitting a stride recently, upgrading my sound, and I realized I hadn't put any of my recent work on Feed Forward. I decided to fix that, because I think these new songs are some of my strongest work to date. I'm completely stoked that you agree!

They are strong! Then again, I liked the older ones too! We're glad to hear you back in the swing of things. Have you brought your stuff into WUPI, yet?

I am gearing up for a big promo period, but have been so busy I haven't had a chance to reach out to many stations yet. I want to send out a ton of letters and copies of The Man Forgotten, and then turn around in a bit and hit everyone with the new album when it's done. Also, I am planning some experimental videos.

Ian Marquis gave feedback to The Closers for “Lolly”:
You really nailed the mix between lo-fi and well-produced in this song. The vocals really stand out, and the entire mix has a great garage rock sound. Tight drums, great tone, and an almost Zombies-like mood. I like it!
 Sep 10, 2012, 08:31 EDT
The Closers
The Zombies, awesome! Thanks, yeah I wish that I could take full credit for the mix, but our guitar player did it, and I think you're right, he nailed it, as did our drummer with his performance! There's a live version, a little different vibe, see if you like it, and let me know what you think of it, please: Thanks.

Good production! I like the bass-line and drumbeat especially. As always, a really well thought through composition, and a really well executed recording. Post production is coming through as well in these headphones.

Stereo, what a concept :D

Who is this young Siren singing with you, or did you just add a track with a lot of effects on it??? Great chords too!

Either way, it's really good :D

Hey, thank you! I really, really appreciate your support - seriously. This is probably the song I'm the most proud of so far from the new setlist for my in-progress album. There's just so much going on. Oh, and the backup vocals in the chorus are all me. To get the higher ones, I shifted the formant of my voice, as well as the pitch, up for a higher harmony. It's something I'm playing with a lot more recently. Glad you liked the result!

Awesome! And I DO like the results. Keep on making great music :D Also, did you ever get to any of your college stations in ME -- I'm absolutely sure they'll put you in the rotation.

Karmawimp gave feedback to RIEKKYE for “RIEKKYE - Butterfly and Roses”:
Great song. I love the crunchy distortion on the chorus. Nothing like a good ol' rock tune.

Power pop love song! It's great. Your voice sounds beautiful on this track. Great lyrics as well. Ini Laguku:D

Ima buy this one, please let me know if and when the payment goes thru!

I think you're popular in two countries now, in your home of Indonesia, and now here in the USA!

Are you doing all of this just one person or do you have some more help? A++
 Sep 03, 2012, 09:00 EDT
I'm so excited to hear that..thanks for your appreciation. RIEKKYE is soloist but off course not just one person who produced the music. The music players are Poy (guitar+bass), Upa (add bass), Naya (add guitar+loop programmer+mixing), Leipe (loop programmer+arranger), Ojy (add drummer), Andree (mastering) and many musician :)

Good remix. Like the guitar around 2:12. Is there a guitar solo in the original too? What else was added?
 Aug 08, 2012, 00:03 EDT
Rex Yehudi (shoham)
There was not. I think Gremlin killed this one. I think he added some extra guitar all over the place, too.
flag (Aug 08, 2012, 07:57 EDT)
Yeah, I like it. Extra guitar = what the song needed

I did. I think there was a total of like 4 guitar tracks going towards the end of the song. I normally am very sparse with overdubbing, but it felt like the bridge needed to be epicly huge. Oh and Gabrielle, this is more of a full on cover than a remix, as I learned the song just as a sort of way to kill some time and decided to just record a version of it. Nice burn though, sorry Sho!
