Rex Yehudi (shoham) gave feedback to The Closers for “Show Me How”:
This doesn't suck*! Seriously though, folks. The vocals are very smoky, I can say like this??? Needs a mouse-hair more bass-line...

"Show Me How"?!?! More like "SHOW ME THE KARMA!"!

Ian Marquis gave feedback to The Middlemen for “The End”:
I really enjoyed the mix between the direct-recorded acoustic guitar, piano, and vocals in this song. Very clean, balanced, and immediate. Good job, guys!

Great. Glad you liked it. here's a better version on an iMac somewhere in a landfill in New Jersey, LOL. Actually, we have a whole E.P. We'd love if you'd check it out, and it's a free download, too!

Scott Wells gave feedback to The Closers for “Own My Own”:
nice piano line. this song really suffers from production quality. im pretty sure its mixed in mono and your vocals are getting drowned out.

The Closers
You're pretty much on point, which is sad, but true. Man, if my vocals could be something other than drowned out now and again that would sure be nice...! It's a quirky chord progression. I'll see if I can recall it. This was recorded like 7 1/2 years ago, so it was actually tape, and just awful acoustics. Thanks for listening, for sure, though!

Mr. Rogers + Clint? How can I not like it? really enjoyed the whole thing, but I think the staccato style chorus was my fav part.

Thanks sir! This is from what we call our "Broke Back Set" :p Here's a rough one from the same set: Thanks, and glad you like this one. Wish we could get a better cut, one of these days... Glad you liked the stacatto too, still hashing the lyrics, though.

David Samuel Partamian gave feedback to The Closers for “Show Me How”:
I love this song, it has this melancholic country quality to it that is most calming. I actually don't have any complaints about this song.

We make to give. If it is not for another, then our art is dead.

I agree wholeheartedly. Art is made because of the basic human urge to share oneself with the world.

Rex Yehudi (shoham) gave feedback to The Middlemen for “The End”:
Or is it only the beginning. I liked the tune, but would like to hear a more polished version of it (polished like a gem, not a sausage).

Neat lyrics, and a nice, simple chord progression to boot.

 Jul 08, 2012, 14:15 EDT

I like this song a lot-simple and pretty catchy. It doesn't sound like that bad of a recording. Are you planning on rerecording since this is a "rough draft?"

Thanks you. I'm working on a series of cowboy style love songs I'm tentatively titling "Cowabunga Cowboy". Glad the recording doesn't sound to bad -- Old-Timey, perhaps????
flag (Jun 18, 2012, 07:43 EDT)
Yeah, song + recording = old-timey---> go together well! Cool, can't wait to hear more cowboy songs!
