Nice beat :) I think it sounds very '80's, which in my opinion is very cool :) Thanks for sharing. I also like the panning you're doing. I wish that I knew how to do production. LOL. 1:43 and 1:48 I really liked those little syncopated beats. Good mix of rhythms. -Shoham

I like the beat. Pretty cool textures as well(I'm not sure if that's the right term or not).

It could use a little more variety, I think, though, especially a bigger buildup, somewhere in the middle. And then into that nice change of pace you have from 2:25 - 3:05 or so. I think they're called "drops" in House?

Anyway, thanks for sharing!

Thanks again for the great feedback. I think this one was a little bit rushed personally, but it also just flowed out pretty quickly. Any specific songs you want me to check out for feedback?

Huh, now I think this tune is better than I did at first ;p If you want something of ours you might enjoy, I think that "Utilitarian Rag" is short and fun! -- it's also a free download.

Badabinski gave feedback to Stereoscopic for “Stereoscopic - "Redeye"”:
Great song here, really digging the feel from it. Heard a lot of great retro stuff today and yours definitely keeps up and stands out in it's own way. Those TR-808 samples are just perfect here. I might bring those bass drums up a little bit, but I like the snare where it's at, nice and distant with that reverb. Good job man! Great to see someone so young making electronic music.

Thanks a bunch for the feedback. I'm really glad you like it. I always seem to have my kicks too low though. At least that's what people say a lot when I get feedback. I'll make sure to check out some of your stuff also.

Badabinski gave feedback to Stereoscopic for “Fresh Start”:
I love the retro feel to this one. This could just be FF's streaming, but I might try and push those kicks a bit more and give that snare a nice strong snap (boost the 4000-6000 hz range to help out with that.) Great tune!

Nice cool electro piece. I see that you are an Ableton Live user, I personally use FL Studio prolly because it is cheaper. Someday I may give it a try. Everything sounded right on. I wish there was DAWs like abelton and flstudio when I was 14... Keep at it.

Thanks! Digital production certainly makes everything a whole lot easier. What do you think was the weakest part of the song?

I would say the weakest part of your piece is that you think there is a weakest part of your piece. I suppose a bit more of a build up for and end finale, but that would be nit picking. It is just long enough to not be too short for my tastes. Overall dude, it's good.

It's always good to know what you can improve on, even if it is nitpicking :) I'm really glad you liked it though. I'm not the most experienced person there is, but I really do enjoy music production, and it's really satisfying to be able to have other people enjoy your work. I'll make sure to check out your stuff!

The Closers gave feedback to Stereoscopic for “Stereoscopic - "Redeye"”:
Very nice tune, very mellow. Has somewhat of a 1980's sound to it, I think, which is a good thing, in my opinion. Natural sounding mix. What DAW do you use? Great choice of cover art as well.

PS: Thanks for the free download :D My sister is going to love this.

Thanks for the feedback! I did try to go for a classic synthpop feel with this one, and I think I'm going to the same for a lot of my future mixes. A lot of the things you said are good are things I personally consider to be my strengths, so I'm glad you said them. Certainly a good dose of self-confidence there. I use Ableton Live for pretty much everything. Audacity for EQing and exporting as MP3. As for the cover art, it's only temporary. It's not actually my picture, I just felt like something needed to be there. Thanks again, and good luck getting your voice out there :)

Thanks! It's always a challenge, as a singer ;p Ableton seems to be the best DAW for a lot of digital composers. I've used Audacity a bit, but there's a couple of things that annoy me about it, although the price is right ;) Are you just starting to do this, then, or are you just changing your style from what it had been?
flag (Mar 06, 2012, 21:42 EST)
Well if you check out the SoundCloud (which I don't expect you to do), you'll see that I've had experimented with several different subgenres of electronica. My other favorite was triphop. Anyways, I wanted to switch it up again for this, and I'm glad I did. Every sound here was designed from scratch, which is something I've just discovered I'm not half-bad at. I'm also just starting to produce in general. I made my first song about 4 months back. I'm also relatively young for the whole music production world, as I'm only 14, but I'm really hoping to make this something that's more than a hobby someday.
