Rex Yehudi (shoham) gave feedback to platypus for “Sever”:
Cool tune. I like the bluesy vibe on this one. Would like to hear a more polished version of the tune, but I think you are definitely on the right 'track' shall we say(?) with this one...

Just curious, are there any lyrics for this one, or are you writing them up still? As a song writer myself, I know that I do that. Sounds like it could be one such case.

Thanks for sharing!

It's a song that feels like it needs a band behind it. So i'm going to say this is my acoustic version, and ya the lyrics to this mofo change daily, trying to focus on the "er" sound in the chorus. My next big musical step is going to be getting some people to play my songs with me but it is hard to find the right people.

Oh yeah. That's for sure. Well, hopefully you can work well with those you do find. I've been in a lot of bands, and getting everyone to get along is by far the greatest challenge you'll face :o

Rex Yehudi (shoham) gave feedback to platypus for “Da Funky Ishhhh”:
This is a funky mother funkin' beats mother funkers :D I might put a little bit of something on the vocals: some kind of effect, maybe. But I really like the Beatie Boys kind of 1987 sound you guys are rocking here -- outstanding! Thanks for sharing, and keep on writing!

I'm a musician as well, this is a Beastie Boys style tune I did with one of my bands that you might enjoy: http://www.feed-forward.net/w.1013_Razer_&theater Let me know what you think! Thanks -S

Ted Kindig gave feedback to platypus for “I Dont Know”:
Good vocals and sick guitar work! The homemade quality of the recording sort of works against the layering of the parts--I'd like to be able to hear each part a little more distinctly--but there's an great song in there.

Rex Yehudi (shoham) gave feedback to platypus for “Passage”:
Nice blues riffs you've got going there, friend. Very groovy :)

I think this is your first piece with vocals. I like where you're going with this and wouldn't mind hearing some more drafts of this one in the future.

Vocals could be a lot louder for sure. Otherwise, I like where this one seems to be going. Keep up the good work.

Thanks! This is one of a group of new songs I've been working on. Trying to keep it like this style blues/alt or something I don't know. But, yes expect more in the near future!

Via Coma gave feedback to platypus for “Bi-Polar”:
The vocals surprised me after hearing the guitar intro, but that's a good thing! You have a fun to listen to singing voice, did you record this live with the acoustic guitar? Or did you record the guitar separately? If you want some minor feedback I would say try recording guitar first to a metronome as there were some (maybe intentional?) hard tempo fluctuations going on, but ultimately it sounded good and fun! I enjoyed listening through the whole thing, and I thought it was pretty good!

Thanks, you make me feel good inside! The guitar and vocals are recorded at the same time, on my laptop mic. I'm fixin to delete all this stuff and add my new songs with better quality.

WalaWalaWala gave feedback to platypus for “Trump Drum Drum”:
Pretty sweet. Gotta love that 70's flavor :D Where did you get the samples, or did you make them up yourself from scratch? Funky change-up around 1:05 was a nice touch as well.

Only thing I'd say is maybe go back to the original theme by the end. I think that would be a nice throwback, for me anyway :D

Liked, and 'liked' ;p

samples are from freesound.org. I wanted to make a song that I could freestyle over. I was thinking about putting vocals or something at the end.
