0ctavio G0nzalez gave feedback to bdbancel for “Lily - Gemma Dunlovely”:
Very pretty song. Very pretty voice. Very pretty girl/woman. Any more tunes in the works? I love this lo-fi sound, and the flute(?) at the end.

Theres an EP coming out in October. The flute at the end is an Irish flute. Thanks for the feedback!

Just heard this one again for the first time in a long time. One of my favorites. Could go an iPod commercial! So, where's album...?

Love this. It's great. Really reminds me of Laura Marling - are you inspired by her at all?

You could definitely say we draw inspiration from the New-folk scene.

A fun a great song. You have a great voice. Just a tad sort though.

Ian Marquis gave feedback to bdbancel for “Lily - Gemma Dunlovely”:
I love the honest feel of this song: a nice dry acoustic with good articulation, unprocessed vocals, and great tone.

Aleksander Luckow gave feedback to bdbancel for “Lily - Gemma Dunlovely”:
Very nice tune with a lovely feel to it :) Not quite sure of the off-tune recorder at the end, but such a nice voice and storytelling

Hard to think of much feedback to give on this (of the useful kind), very beautiful track. The harmonies were excellent but I did feel the close one (more low endy one) was a bit too close, didn't blend so well with the rest of the mix. Also, the guitar wasn't so interesting recording wise. Maybe a room mic would have helped it, and more detail from close mics.

Bottom line is still that this is a very nice song.

Hi, thank you for your constructive words and time. Admidetly, I'm still struggling with recording techniques and the overall quality of my recordings. I'm going to have a look at the harmonizations as well - thank you!

bdbancel gave feedback to DISCOVER for “Whose faith”:
That hi-hat needs to go further back in the mix for my taste. Maybe try some fast attack fast release compression to soften those transients. The snare sounds nice and crunchy.

Hi. Nice song. Nice voice. Nice to hear tin whistle on a track. Where are you based?

Based in Liverpool. Gemma and I are students at LIPA. She writes the music and I help record/produce it. We are working really, really hard on an EP right now.

Please put more stuff up. Your track played in my player this morning and I liked more the second time.

bdbancel gave feedback to Purple Asteroid Cadillac for “Shine On”:
Great vibe going on in this song. The guitar is a bit to dry for me, I get the feeling it was tacked onto the track rather than played in the same room as the other instruments/vocalists. All is well performed and recorded nicely but there's the slight issue with use of space. I enjoyed the track loads though, and believe it can be pushed even further mix wise!

Sam Bennett gave feedback to bdbancel for “Lily - Gemma Dunlovely”:
The vocals are distinct and the structure of the lyrics are unconventional.

This is fantastic.

I'm glad you write music.

Not many female musicians speak out to me--you're an exception.

Thank you.
