Scott Wells gave feedback to The Amorous for “Cries of the Caterpillar”:
great recording quality. great change of pace from all the amateur recordings. i like the drone-like quality of the guitar riff. the emotion of the track builds quite nicely.
if i had any criticism it would be the vocals in the chorus. there is no real hook for the audience to grab on to. try to simplify the lyrics and melody and you will connect with a more "commercial" audience.

J. Wager gave feedback to The Amorous for “One More Thing”:
very well done. The singing flows really nicely atop the piano chords, in fact the whole song flows great. Don't see a thing that needs criticizing.

Couldn't agree more! This is like classical music. Gotta love the jingle bells in there too. More jingle bells baby :D Good find J!

The Closers gave feedback to The Amorous for “Cries of the Caterpillar”:
Pretty song, I like the harmonies 1/2 way through. Thanks for sharing. I like your singers' voices-- I think you usually have a female singer, who is good, but I like this guy, Joe too :)

Nice one Joe! Good key-work, and lyrics as well. Definitely different from the other stuff of your that I've heard so far, though you still have that signature opera-inspired part around 3:00-3:30 which is cool.

The Middlemen gave feedback to The Amorous for “Always Be With Me”:
Cool music, folks! I really appreciate how the dude on the right of this photo is rockin' the 1880's style clothes like a boss!

Overall, very unique-- I especially liked the effect on the guitar solo from 2:15 to 2:25.

Thanks for sharing :-)

Really like this. The track became even better when the drums kicked in. Sweet lyrics. :)

The Amorous gave feedback to WalaWalaWala for “Sometimes Why”:
Definitely fun! I'd love to see you guys live. It's got a bit of a folk vibe that I definitely dig.

My only criticism is that you could use some keys buried in the background to fill out the sound a bit. When the guitar lead comes in, the song sounds a bit empty 'cause of the rhythm guitar doing chops. Of course, you can't change the chops, since they're driving the song, so adding a track could be cool.

Still a fantastic song, and the lyrics are pretty unique. I like it!

Thanks, Jeremy! Here's a live video version of this song, with about 1/2 the band: http://www.feed-forward.net/?hwork=2262

BTW: I tried to buy one of your guys' songs, but I'm not sure that your PayPal account was working... -Shoham (singer, WalaWalaWala)

WalaWalaWala gave feedback to The Amorous for “Here it Goes”:
Another good one! It's funny how sometimes you'll find out that your song was used after it already happened. That's happened to bands I've been in too, and I don't know whether to be flattered or angered.

This one has a really marketable quality to it, for sure! Obviously somewhat reminiscent of Evanescence. Is that one of your inspirations, or is that just a coincidence? You guys sound tight together, did you do this recording yourselves? -Shoham

We actually did a tour with a bigger band, and their lead guitarist recorded us in his home studio. He produced, as well, and we think it all sounds killer. It's exciting! We hadn't picked Evanescence as an influence, but there's a chance it played into the recording process a bit.

It's actually our first album. In fact, the four tracks I posted are our four-track EP. We have three more recorded, and we're heading back next week to lay three or four more, then we'll get it mastered and duplicated! It's a really exciting time for us.
