Gabrielle gave feedback to Rabies Clinic for “Diesel - Run With It RMI”:
Just really good and fun to listen to. Really cool artwork, too.

Some really neat experiments in this one, very chill. Again, my one little idea as a singer who has fronted, led, started etc. blues based bands, is that you just might want to make sure that you are making sure to make room in the pocket for that vocalist as there's in some important respects both quantitatively and qualitatively between what a voice is going to be able to do and what a band is doing. That said, more power to you, and go on spend it all in one place :D
Thank you,

PS: Did you make this cover art? It's very fitting for your sound!

Thanks man, we definitely had some fun playing around with this one. Preciate the advice fitting in vocals, once we get going with a singer we will probably re-record it and open it up a bit more for lyrics. Glad you like the new artwork, my sister painted it for me, it definitely gives off the same vibe as our sound haha

VERY cool artwork. Any singer worth her/his salt will probably need the benefit of the doubt. This thing is going places, for sure! Are you guys on UNC campus by any chance???

The Middlemen gave feedback to Rabies Clinic for “Poison Arrows RMI”:
Cool tune, guys, How is gigging going, by the way, or is this from a show/is that what RMI has to do with???

I like the new flavor coming out of the lead guitar, it's cool to hear a little bit of that classic rock fanger effect. Good buildup as well.

Great new clover art as well, how did you make it? Thanks.

Thanks, glad y'all dig it...we're starting to pick up gigs with full set lengths now, slowly getting more frequent. We've been working on a demo over the past few months so that's what these new tracks are, and the RM1 just stands for "Rough Mix 1" haha. Yeah that lead is a delay setting I found that works well with a slide...glad you guys like it, it's a lot of fun to play haha. My sister actually did that painting (well both of them) based off a little sketch of mine, thought I should change it up for the new tracks

and actually here's a clip of us playing it live recently...unfortunately it cuts out towards the end but it's most of the song

It's awesome! We love it. Let your sister know she's got some serious talent. Thanks.

Straight blues, I like it. I'd still like to hear these with some vocals. Any chance you guys will add a singer at any point?

Thank you,

Thanks for the purchase man, good to know you dig it. We've been talking to a few singers recently, haven't played with them yet but hopefully we'll have something to lay over it soon, the lyrics are already written for it so it shouldn't be too difficult to whip up

Nice, I'll check it out in a few. Also, I'm a singer, so be sure to be flexible with a good singer, he, or she can be one of the best assets any band has. And make sure to listen and possibly reduce volume, as the human voice can't really turn it up to 11!!!!

Wow! Cool departure from some of your other stuff -- I guess mainly because it's in a minor key, but this one has sort of a more Spanish feel to it.

Also, somewhat reminiscent of "Little Wing" -- late Jimi Hendrix style -- nothing wrong with that!

I like the slow build up throughout.
Very laid back, and enjoyable, but then it's summer now, so what's the hurry!?!

Thanks for the download, -uncle showie

Yea we've been expanding our musical horizons lately trying to throw in a bit of jazz and whatnot into the mix...and thanks for the Little Wing comparison! Should be a few more summer grooves popping up along the way

i am totally feeling this song! Starting to feel obsessed with it. Are you guys need of a vocalist by chance?
 Jun 20, 2012, 22:27 EDT

Like how switches up around 3 min. into the song. I thought there would be vocals but never got bored waiting for them for 6:15 minutes!

Thanks for the feedback, glad you're diggin the track! We will hopefully have a singer soon so we can lay down some vocals, we're trying to keep it interesting in their absence haha. Keep a lookout, there will be many new demo tracks coming in the next few weeks!

Great as always, guys Mix sounds really good as well.

Yeah, I like the change up as well little drum solo around 3 minutes in -- but I think you could let you drummer had even a little bit more of a chance to shine!

Keep 'em coming!!!
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! yeah these are two we've been working on for an upcoming open mic as well as a demo we're planning on recording in the next couple weeks. We'll probably add some length to it and who can argue with a drum solo! haha Thanks for the feedback and paypal :)

I like the panning! Jam is great, kind of has a Rage Against the Machine quality at times.

Believe it or not, this could have been a lot longer, I think -- still waiting for a bigger crescendo...

I love what you guys are doing, any plans for live recordings at any shows???

Keep it going :)

Thanks, -showie

Yeah I know our drummer has a fairly portable setup but the open mic we are playing weekly is only a 15 minute set so the time to mic up would be too much to be worth the effort, hopefully after a few of them they will hook us up with a longer set. The phone probably won't sound that great but I just like being able to hear what I played, as I often have a little trouble remembering ;) haha

Well, for what it's worth, don't wait for the longer set -- it might help you get it by having the 15 minute demo, + recording the other acts. Just find out ahead of time if it's cool with the bar owners -- and the other bands. This will help make you popular with the locals! Good place to network...

Not a bad strategy at all, never thought about the networking prospective of recording, but who doesn't want to have a live copy of their show? I do think we will start doing this soon, I guess we'll have to find a good balance between quality and quantity of equipment

I'd just maybe say go with a 5 piece settup -- your two best recording mics, the two stands, and your computer (plus Garageband/Protools/Audacity on the software side.) Pro-tip: You guys are awesome musically, which can be a bit intimidating to other acts :0 Just be nice, and smile at haters, all day.........

Pretty sicks stuff guys, et al. I like how tight your performance is on this track. Sounds like you've put in a lot of work and a lot of time together. More importantly it seems as if you're having a lot of fun jamming with one another.

How long have you been playing with one another? And please get a PayPal account, I want to buy some of this stuff, for Jesus' sakes. Thanks a lot for jamming, recording and sharing, now just take my damn money and leave be!
Seriously though, this shit is that good!!!

Thanks for lending an ear and support! Me and the other guitarist have been playing together for 5 or 6 years now and we've been jamming with the bassist and drummer since last october...and we are definitely having as much fun as it sounds haha. I'll get around to the paypal thing too, didn't think anyone would be throwing money at unfinished songs haha. Thanks again though, the feedback means a lot...
