Ian MacPhail gave feedback to Stereoscopic for “Dreaming In Reverse”:
What showie said;
More syncopation early on.

I disagree with Kelly. I like the pitch bending you do, it's cool.

Having heard the tune a few more times now, I think that it's very good, and reminds me of The Talking Heads a little bit. Very impressive piece, for sure. I wonder what it would sound like with vocals :)

Very cool piece. I enjoyed listening to it and as Electronic pieces go I didn't like it was too repeditive IMHO. The comment I can say is perhaps that the mastering is a bit flat.

Hmm after reading my previous post I was dismayed to see how my message was garbled by blunders. This is what it should have said:
Very cool piece. I enjoyed listening to it and as Electronic pieces go I didn't think it was too repetitive IMHO. The only comment I have is perhaps that the mastering is a bit flat.

I actually like it! Love the vocals especially, can't remember where it's a sample from, though.

It's "Kickin It" by Collage, awesome track. Glad you liked it, we were experimenting with the sampled disco house sound :)

To be fair, this is not my vibe of music. It's not terrible but not great. The vocals are the only thing that lead me to believe that this is anything other than a small- or no-label artist just throwing mass produced samples together in his/her basement. A couple of good transitions (best around 4:05), but altogether, it just sounds too polished...but that is probably a good thing for this genre...?

Thanks for the very detailed feedback, we really appreciate it! And you're spot on, this track was made throwing together microsamples in a basement of sorts, along with live playing dubbed over :)

I like the opening sequence a lot. I would make the suggestion that you maybe want to use a little more syncopation in the beat a little earlier on. The main theme got to be a little bit repetitive after a while. Cool tune. I like where you're going with this. Did you end up checking out any of k78's stuff? You guys have lot in common stylistically, and I think that he could probably give you some more in-depth pointers, too!
Thanks for sharing, keep on making :D

Cool new track. This one is a lot different from what I'm used to from you guys -- has more of a classic house feel if I'm not mistaken than some of your other stuff. Very dance-able :)

thanks for listening! we were experimenting a little with this track, used a whole other method of writing and structuring the track, it was loads of fun but it doesn't really mean that this is the direction we're going from now or anything like that, all we want to do is make fun music :)

I know what you mean. For instance if you listen to this track we did: http://www.feed-forward.net/w.1018_Thats_alright_with_me and this one: http://www.feed-forward.net/w.1002_Anchor you'll see that we like to vary our styles as well!

Sorry for the shameless self promotion :)
