fierceband gave feedback to MELD for “Quickly”:
Nice blue emphasis. I really like the guitar work. So much attitude.

The Middlemen gave feedback to tawmy for “JazzPurr”:
Good stuff. Piano tone is nice. Is it a 'real' piano, or a synthesizer?

Also, I like this cover. Did you paint it?

Actually the piano has no strings or a soundboard so I guess it's a synthesized version of a piano. It never needs tuning though. The painting is by Reiss from the roaring 20s.

Cool. never heard of him, until now. This one is pretty cool, too: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/db/Weinold_Reiss_-_Steel_workers.jpg

Ian Marquis gave feedback to MELD for “Ants”:
The guitar tone in this track is fantastic (and the bass is great, too - plenty of lows and highs, but an open mid). Good job!

Thanks man. Guitar Eric actually makes his own pick-ups! And Bass Dave is one of a kind.

WalaWalaWala gave feedback to MELD for “And Then I...”:
has some Allman brothers vibes going on for sure...

One thing I'll say about the songs on this album, I feel that they could be a hell of a lot longer!

Other than that, smooth tunes-- when's the next album coming out???

Thanks for the nice words Showie! Yeah, when we perform them, they're usually a few minutes longer. We like to scale 'em down for the record.

We started working on a new album but got a little sidelined with our live-band karaoke project. I'll keep you posted if we ever book some more studio time.

Thanks again!

J. Wager gave feedback to MELD for “Buddy, The Surf Dog”:
Sweettttttttt melodies, the guitar lines and tones are so floaty. Overall the music is great, however I do think the lyrics and vocals could use a little work.

The Closers gave feedback to MELD for “Sarah's Lullaby”:
Never heard this one b4, I don't think. Definitely has some Steely Dan aspects. Vocals have a hint of Frankie Valley as well.

Beautifully produced track. Drums sound especially good, but an overall very tasteful mix. Can't get over the teen-idol vocals on this though :)

Bought.

Thanks Showie! I'm glad you liked it. It's a personal bittersweet song from a few years back.
