You guys are the cat's meow -- seriously though these are great lyrics, if I do say so myself. The actual mix is fine, but I'm not buying the performance and the vocals sound a little bit strained to me.

Lots of win here, but could we just try to tone the percussion down 1/4 of a cunt hair so the mids and his (and los) for that matter can shine???

WalaWalaWala gave feedback to The Watermarks for “Run Away”:
I like the techno vibe on this tune, but I feel as if the vocals are being a little bit compromised with some of the effects you put on them.

Harmonies sound really good here in the middle, and the guitar solo is good as well. That's the only thing that's bothering me is that there's a little too much (I think) effects on the lead vocals, which otherwise sound QUITE good.

Thanks for sharing :)

Megatherian gave feedback to Ted Kindig for “(deleted)”:
I can't help but be reminded by the Barenaked Ladies by this song. I laughed when I read the lyrics. This is a really funny and pretty well done song. I like the vocals, but they need to be a bit more on the beat. Sometimes there is a miniscule deviation from the digital drums and it gets distracting. Another thing is that the guitar tone could use some tweaking because, as the only guitar part in the song, it needs to stick out and sound good to the ear. This is all opinion of course, but I think these things could really send the song into overdrive.

I like this! If I heard this on the radio, I would have thought it was the Beastie Boys at first. I like the chorus, it is a nice contrast against the verse.

Thanks, man :D It's a free download :D You're right -- Verses were inspired as such, plus based on some experiences I had bumming around India for a while years back... Chorus inspired by Octopus's Garden by Richard Starkey.

Cool. Reminds me a lot of Elvis Costello and The Dead Milkmen.

I really like this style for you. I remember your song about Derivatives, and feel like this goes along well with that in spirit -- very smart lyrically, and very funny musically at the same time. I wish I could do both at the same time, I'm lucky when I do one half as well as you do.

What did you use to make this?

Thanks for the kind words WalaWalaWala, I love Elvis Costello and the Dead Milkmen!

I wrote the electronic parts in Anvil Studio, then mixed them with vocals, guitar and various audio plugins in Sony Acid.
