Beautiful little piece. Quite gentle and nice in the first part.

Almost disturbing in the second part, and then a very energetic finale. I love it. Keep going with this, I'm eager to see where it will go!

What did you use to make the strings, they sound good, especially for midi.

Thanks for writing this and sharing it as well,

Thanks! I'm using a Yamaha P95 keyboard but I'm also recording through Pro Tools.

Minimalism at its finest, I love it!

When I listen to this, I think of a time line. Something being built. The workers are glad in their work. They are methodical, and very exacting as they set their machine in motion.

Thank you for the, "by line", Shoham.

There are some still up on myspace that me and my buddy made. http://www.myspace.com/cactusonfire Unfortunately, I had a drive crash so I don't have any of the mp3s anymore to post, but there is some on there. We were trying to do something no one had done before, blending spanish guitar music with hip hop and IDM influences but idk how successful we were. ha

Bojko gave feedback to Ian MacPhail for “Lost Heart and Soul”:
cool and eerie i think it would work without the drums i guess just piano and ambient sounds would get my attention well enough! really good sets a great mood, take a classic upbeat happy love song and change it around , brilliant!

I like the way this one is coming along, I think that the drum section could be a little bit tighter though. What kind of keyboard do you use?

Oh, :P I thought you meant for the other instruments. Just the piano is live, it was sort of improvised. Willis upright piano, recorded with.... A rockband microphone.

Lovely sound, love all the notation and chord choices. I was about to say it needed a livelier part, but then I got to 1:45. Exactly what it needed. I love your counter-melodies, they make the piece extremely exciting, then the way you bring everything together at the end is almost perfect, though I'm not sure about the last minor chord choice.

Wait a minute, this is a pretty good tune. Good job me :-) Kind of reminds me of Philip Glass. By, do I have a funny story about that guy...

So I was helping a 'friend' move Phillip Glass's son's stuff from one Greenwich Village brownstone to another, and long story short, I never got paid for the move, never met PG, had to get a last minute train back to Pittsboro. But I do have a Buddhism Today magazine with the Dalai Llama on the cover and P. Glassies name and address for proof, so that's something, at least...

Kode of Bliss gave feedback to Rex Yehudi (shoham) for “No impression”:
So you are in to composing now. Interesting piece. A few comments would be I did not like the dead section between 1:17 and 1:28. It seems to end abrubtly after picking back up at 1:28. Would be interesting to see the stems on this piece.

This is sweet, thanks. Sorry I missed your previous message!!! "Which one do I think is best" I like different aspects of each -- like the live drum kit on #3 + drum kit and the creepy synth sounds on #2. The intensity of #3 I like the layering in #1, but 2, 3, and 4 are my favorite for different reasons. At this moment I'd have to say #3, even though I like the rest. I'm not good at deciding the best of multiple good things! I'd say that #3 + drumkit is the best, but there really are things about the others I liked a lot, esp. #2 and the creepy keyboard sound! Thanks again, these are great. -shoham PS: I think that your version of No Impression is awesome, but cuts off a little too abruptly, IMHO.

Well you MIDI file cuts off even more abruptly than my mix as I add some notes at the end to give it more of a finale.
