Nice interpretation of a song I actually forgot existed. Yours is a more interesting arrangement to my ears. Well done.

Kode of Bliss gave feedback to The Middlemen for “It Brings me Back”:
I like the flanging on the guitar. Has a nice flow. Vocals are great as usual. Sounds like something you would hear in the 70's for some reason.

$kellybarnard: 1970's cool! Thank you. The original title of our albums was "Old Timers". You just now inspired a name change, as a matter of fact: http://www.feed-forward.net/a.11_Old_Timers_Turn_It_Up_and_Change_the_Channel

We were definitely inspired by the Strokes at the time, and in many ways still are, and they were at the time a throwback to the 70's era of indi rock, so it is cool that that seeped through!!!

Freebie!

Hey, buddy. This one is from 2002, already if you can believe that. Thank you, again :) I wish I had not messed this band up, but it was some good times recording, for sure -- I was a foolish teenager and a poor leader :( Hopefully I have learned a few things since then! Lyrics and Music by Dino Mintas, I sang. Thanks again, -Shoham

Kode of Bliss gave feedback to The Middlemen for “The End”:
Love the acoustic guitar. Lyrics are excellent with your great vocals to sing them. Fun overall track.

Hey, man, thank you, thank you. I didn't know how the production went, but I am glad that you liked it. Sometimes it helps to have that second set of ears. FYI, this is Shoham, in case you didn't know!

Ragnar Pétur gave feedback to The Middlemen for “Keep In Touch”:
It's been a while since I listened to something by you guys. This song is good, the songwriting is solid and the vocal harmonies are done well. You have a cool voice that really suits this style of music. I wish I had strong highs like the last couple of notes you sing.

Thank you Ragnar! I am listening to your new track as I read this. I think all of our stuff is free to download -- let me know if you would like to collaborate on it, too :) Our works are available for free. Thank you.

Cool cool cool, I downloaded some stuff onto my old laptop before it died, from what I remember, so I should probably do that again. My setup at the moment is absolutely awful so if I manage to upgrade some stuff then maybe I'll be fit to collaborate :p

Megatherian gave feedback to WalaWalaWala for “Lady Boy (Rough and Raw)”:
A very interesting ballad. Strong harmonies with a good melody. Also, the little guitar leads are well played and fit in pretty well. I think that this song could benefit from a little bit of percussion, but the electric guitar holds down the rhythm well enough to make it work. I would say that the solo vocals have a slight intonation issue at times, but that can be said for most musicians that don't use autotune.

Shoham from WalaWalaWala here. Thank you good friend of Megatherian. I think that you are right about the percussion and intonation. This is one of those tracks that coukld take a few more instantiations to get right. Glad you like "That's All Right With Me". I like that take, as well -- on shot, I believe. It's a tough balance between the magic of a one take wonder and then getting things right through 5-10 takes, but life's a WIP, and then you die, right?!? Also, these are all pay what you like downloads :] Thanks again, Shoham

Thanks, man. I don't know what happened to the 'official' recording. It was a little more rocking, but I am glad you dig this one. Just me and a guitar, w/o the band...

The Middlemen gave feedback to Xack Fischer for “Wake Up, New Day”:
Cool vox! I like the production. Has something of a 1960's indie rock feel... Folksy, but gritty. I feel like the piano instrumental in the middle could be a little bit stronger.

Thank you.
