Most people just see the Beach Boys as a gimmicky surf rock group, but once you delve into Brian's chords, structures, and key changes you soon realize that the man was a brilliant song composer. Everyone knows the genius behind Pet Sounds, but few come across the master pieces that are Today!, All Summer Long, Summer Days and Summer Nights, Shut Down Vol. 1 and 2, Little Deuce Coupe, and of course the lost in time Smile album.

Just learning some of the chords to their rock-ballad songs is just mind blowing and when getting into the chords of Pet Sounds is just light years away in complexity.

The Beatles and The Beach Boys have taught me more about chord structure than any other band, and have taught me much much more than just that. I get most of my inspiration from them which probably shows.

Maybe I'm just obsessed.

Could be obsessions, but you have to learn from past masters....

Vladimir Putin's favorite song! Groovy new picture, KRC. Maybe put some funky production concepts on this track? Looking forward to checking out your new stuff...

Perfect lo-intensity track. I feel like the vocals could be stronger.

ps: tried to buy the track, but maybe your paypal isn't set to the right email adress?

Thanks for the listen! I always liked when bands ended their albums with a soft song. Wanted to give it try for this series. It also played well with the slight narrative that these songs from the this summer formed.

I checked the email thing. I guess it would have been smart of me to actually put my email in there haha. All fixed now!

You're crazy, man! I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. Snagging it for free would have been more than enough! This is the first amount I have ever made with my music. Extremely tempted to cash it out and frame it! Haha. Thanks for th support!

A good end-of-album track. Nice percussive guitar track, too.

Thanks. I had a full fleshed out version of this one for an album I scrapped after a drive crash. Complete with corny storm sound fx, oh and some crickets and frog noises. Never had a final master uploaded though. Heres the version with the test vocal, back before I learned (kinda) how to sing https://soundcloud.com/sleepingships/the-floods-came
