The first thing I want to say is, wow great work! Out of your body of work that I'm familiar with I have to say this is the most well constructed one yet. I think this song is designed for piano. At least it sounds like piano would be great company. Please continue to work this one

A second take is needed for sure.

Thank you, I feeling I'm really improving when it comes to my song structure song with my vocals.

I really like the lyrics and arrangement.

Thank you Shiloh, I really appriciate that. I've been writing so much lately, I've almost filled up a whole notebook of ideas and songs. I really only record the ones I think are worthy enough.

Rex Yehudi (shoham) gave feedback to Raum for “We Can Escape Reality”:
Great start, loving the schizo-vox! Dreamlike :)

I'd really like some low-register counterpoint (A bassline...) I also feel like this would be a perfect chance to try out like a medley -- go briskly into a totally different theme for about a minute or two and then back to this main theme,

Noe THIS sounds like a Mccartney song - like from "Ram" PRODUCTION LIKE THIS...

Sing how that's one of my favorite top 15 albums I am going take that as a major compliment sir. Do you agree on the lead any baseline along with the ending lead during last 3 lines?
flag (Aug 30, 2019, 07:55 CDT)
It's also related to ram due to the fact that I am doing all the instruments and vocals just like Paul did on not album. Now that you've mentioned it I can for sure hear some ram influence coming out. I'm glad that this piece came together all right.

I can't get over your production value on this one! Sounds like Tom Petty + Guns 'n' Roses = Petty Roses?

Also, send me the lyrics for "Claim", please when you get a minute. Thank you,

PS: Is that a new guitar? Smooth sound...
 Aug 25, 2019, 21:40 CDT
No new guitar. Its the Taylor 100 series i acquired about a yesr ago. She spoils me for sure. Going to restring hopfully today. Want lighter gauge strings so i can bend/bar easier and for a longer amount of time without my hand getting tired from the pressure.

Was actually thinking about stringing electric strings to her because a long time buddy i play with a lot does it and it really works out in many different ways.

Around 58" maybe add a woman's voice -- if you can find one... Even if just for the up and down parts from 58" on... Then from 1:56 on, add a clap track. Just some thought/notes...
 Aug 26, 2019, 07:29 CDT
I csn def getvm down with addingba clap track. Would fit the song well. Appru iste the sdvice as always, i e been listening and puttimg forth effort to work on the things youve suggeted. Just finished "Claim" last night. Added a lead as well as a bass line.

The first thing I noticed is how much better it sounds now that you have it filled out.
The lyrics are so thought provoking in a way that I have not found often .
New and fresh is always great
Your softer background voice might be a bit too a thought.
Overall, great job

Appreciate the compliment on the sound. Getting levels and such is so difficult even after all these years of recording.

I wanted to make a song that sounds catchy but doesn't resonate the way it should until you actually listen and take in consideration of the lyrics. I'm trying to get more "out there" with my writing.

What are you thoughts on the solo, bass line, and the added guitar lead at the very end?
