Gremlin gave feedback to Alice Hagenbruch for “(deleted)”:
This song to me has a bit of an Alice in Chains circa Jar of Flies mixed a bit with some of the early Bob Mould solo records like Black Sheets of Rain or something and then topped with some Joni Mitchell. Nice work. Keep the demos coming :D

Oh thank you :)
Right now I'm recording my debut album Morula. It will keep the same attitude like this demo, but it also will have a lot of different styles.
Stay tuned

Powerful voice, powerful lyrics. I imagine that this is a relatively early draft for your album that you mention in that notes. One thing that I hope you will add is a bit more of a drive from the right hand, especially if you are accompanying yourself/without a band. I am a singer/songwriter too. I know that it is a lot of hard work. Kudos to you for putting it in, and it is already paying off!

PS: If you don't have PayPal, sell it for Ads, I would buy a copy.

This week I will start recording with my team. I really would love to play in Pittsburgh, I just don't know if I could effort the flight.

Gabrielle gave feedback to Xack Fischer for “One Dedication”:
This song is really good- probably because it's a very real and sad subject. Creative lyrics, too. If you perform live, I think this one would sound good.

Gabrielle gave feedback to Xack Fischer for “American Dreamer”:
I like the lyrics- especially "for every one star there’s a million not mentioned
they all tried really hard, and they all really meant it"

Catchy beat, too. How long did it take you to write it?

The melody and the first few lines of the song actually popped into my head while I was at a 7/11 and I jotted them down onto my notepad, then I went home and wrote the whole song that night. Thanks for listening!

I love the production value, dude :)

Cool lyrics, as well. What can I see, kid? You are ready for prime-time, for sure. I like this very simple percussion as well. How exactly are you producing it? I imagine that it was something simple, natural that you then looped. Is that right?

Since you seem interested, I'll walk you through how I get my recordings to sound clean.
First I record a track of me playing the song on guitar and singing while I listen to a metronome on headphones. Then I usually listen to it for a few days and make any revisions, then I do it again with the second draft.
Then I record the guitar part(s) and the vocals on separate tracks, while I listen to the original recording on headphones.
And then when I have those tracks, I delete the first recording I did, so the vocals and guitar are isolated from each other. That way I can adjust their volumes, play with different effects for the different sounds (like autotune or echoes, whatever).
Percussion is always the last thing I add onto a track, and I tend to just use whatever in within arms reach to record percussions. Usually I have 2 or 3 different simple rhythms on top of each other. This track has 3 different rhythms overlapped.

Awesome. I have to bookmark this :) I like the idea of percussion last...

Funny track, Xack. Kind of sad too at the same time. Always good to hear your voice, man...

Thanks. It was a last minute choice to use it, but I think it really works well.

Gabrielle gave feedback to Xack Fischer for “Complications”:
This one is my favorite of your new ones. I think the vocals sound best, and it has a bit more texture/complexity than the other 3. All 4 have really creative lyrics!

Rex Yehudi (shoham) gave feedback to Xack Fischer for “Complications”:
"but I think that it's my path
I've been working it out and double checking my math
I've added it up, and divided by two
I don't think that I'm meant to end up with you"

A great quatrain. Something of an Ogden Nash quality to it...

I think the buh, buh, buh's should be "love, love, love", but in that same dejected voice. Thanks, X, -Z
