Rex Yehudi (shoham) gave feedback to MaZee Blank for “Egbega”:
Sounds radio ready. I hate to sound like a 'broken record' -- but I don't like so much autotune. I can see if you are using it as an effect now and again or to clean up some errant notes, but it seems like your voice can sand strong on its own. If anything, why not distinguish yourself from other Nigerian artists by NOT using so much?!?!

Very talented and I appreciate the work, but #KILL_DA_AUTOTUNE!!!!

Gabrielle gave feedback to Denhonator for “Bellsine”:
What does the title mean?

I like how it changes up a lot. Kind of spooky and outerspacey sounding.

Rex Yehudi (shoham) gave feedback to Denhonator for “TRDisco”:

My favorite of your two new tracks. Has a real brisk feeling to it. Good counterpoint technique, I think.

I feel like you could have gone more experimental somewhere in the middle, around two minutes in or so, once you've grabbed the listeners attention...

Hmh, good point. It's really difficult though, being experimental and making it fit together. Lets see how my next track builds up

Rex Yehudi (shoham) gave feedback to Andyl194 for “Bassment”:
Great beat! I would like to hear some slightly more experimental tones -- maybe something outside of the 12 tone system? I say this, because I feel as if you are pushing things as far as you can within the 12TET system, and though I enjoy the beat here, and I think it is easy for me, and anyone else to engage with this kind of House, still I would be open-minded to hearing something with a more progressive tone-palette.

Just to clarify, the most accessible artists that I can think of who does the kind of compositions that I am recommending is Tom Waits. A less well known artist would be Harry Partch. Here are some examples of his work that I think you might find interesting...

Castor & Pollux (1952):

Rhythm-wise, I realzie that this might not be what you are into. But what is really interesting is what H.P. does in terms of expanding beyond the normal do-re-mi... system.

Here is his wikipedia page, too, for your convenience:

Rex Yehudi (shoham) gave feedback to Wanderbreed for “A55H01e”:
Very nice track. I like it, kind of ambient, and very chill... Kind of has some arabesque flavours as well...

On a constructive criticism kind of note, I wouldn't mind hearing a little bit more to this track, it has lots of room to be more like 5 minutes than two...

What kind of coffee are we talking about here. I'd like to buy this track, but not for shwag...
Thank you,

Woah, woah, woah. I hope you'll put it here. I'm on here every day, and like buying stuff from indie artists like myself. Thank you and congrats...! Shoham

Don't worry, I am not going to use a distribution service that does not respect my right to sell on direct sites such as this :)

I definitely respect your rights. We need to stick together as artist! Hang together or separately :) Shoham

I think it failed to convert from flac, I'll replace it with an mp3 :)

Interestingly, I'm not seeing a way to replace just the audio file.

I'm guessing I have to delete the work and create a new one?

That's probably the easiest way! Sorry for any confusion. We are good, but far from perfect. It's hard to know what caused the problem. Sorry for the inconvenience!!! Shoham

Cool sound -- kind of eery, actually o_0

I love the syncopation you put into this piece, especially from 2:22 until 2:42, and the drop at 2:42 is also very tasteful. I think I'll be breaking the law for doing so, but it's worth the 50c

Do you remember "Beebopadbooabab, Im da Good Humah mahn!"

Thanks for the flashback!

Thanks for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed this blast to the past. I'm getting back into music production, and I've decided I will be focusing on the dubstep genre for now, expect a new song every week!
