Mystery Mammal gave feedback to Interpret for “Shoebox”:
Love that lo-fi keyboard throughout. Very well produced - it is high energy yet relaxing. That's not an easy vibe to accomplish!

Im trying to branch my writing out to be more off the cuff rather than regurgitate the same lyrical format of "I love you/want you".

That's a killer Organ sound you pulled out of your hat there. Vocals are nice as well.

Nothing beats a Hammond B3 with Leslie speaker worked to it's full potential ! I was happy with my vocals too, but may add Louis Armstrong / Tom Waits / Oscar layer as well ... haHaHA

You cheeky so-and-so. Is that a real organ then???
flag (Oct 04, 2017, 08:47 EDT)
haHaHA ... if ya can't tell if it's real or not, then does it matter if it is real or not ? Ever see the size of a Hammond B3 ? That would reduce my jam space ?! I hope that answers your question ...

That's what I 💡. An old 🚺 I know has 1 so yeah I know what you mean. Still sounds 👌

Wow nice mix and master. Good spatial space on this track. Vocals are clear and clean. Has a real fun feel to it. Great Job.

Thank you KoB ... i started a Tom Petty style version of this one too ... before I heard the sad news of Tom Petty's passing ... I'll put that one up as well ...

Rex Yehudi (shoham) gave feedback to tawmy for “Over and Over”:
I'm not buying the vocals. It's a nice groove though for sure. I mean with the vox though I'm trapped between "OK Tom Waits Jr" and "Oh no Oscar the Grouch", but I really feel like a better vocal track would do more justice to this tune.

Who did you get to do that guitar track Stevie Ray Vaughn????
 Sep 25, 2017, 14:57 EDT
Thanks Shoham ... I was trying to unify the vocals with "ToGeHer Love' and 'Know Where To Run' , my other reworked blues pieces.
I have several well known 'shredders' that I work with to add the tasty guitar parts.

Rex Yehudi (shoham) gave feedback to Benji Fitten for “Girl Fever”:

Interesting 80's style new wave approach to the production, especially the vox.

I just checked out your page and saw The Cure as an influence, so maybe my instincts were right?

Thank you for sharing Benji,

Gabrielle gave feedback to Benji Fitten for “Girl Fever”:
Reminds me of $benci and his surfsound. I like the music. What program did you use? Lyrics can be clearer but they are balanced with the music even though they sound far away.

I just check out $benci it was really good thank you for that. I used reaper for this it was my first time using it, but yeah I tried a weird reverb plugin.

Gabrielle gave feedback to Richard Shekari for “Yes Lord”:
I think it would sound good with no music-and lots of voices like a choir. It would be more of a gospel sound. Like the lyrics

Guitar riff reminds me of an old 90's Everlast song. Forget the name. Pretty relaxing vibe throughout the song. Strong bass hits. What do you use for recording? Ableton?
 Dec 20, 2015, 09:51 EST
Everlast has always been a favorite of mine from House of Pain to his solo projects , thank you for listening...I make all my beats and do the mixing and mastering on my smart phone.I use pocketband
flag (Dec 20, 2015, 13:24 EST)
Not familiar with this software. I know Reason has an app for phone recording but will have to check this one out. I just use pro tools as its pretty straightforward UI wise

I didn't know Reason had a phone app; I'll have to check it out...I have a fruityloops mobile app too; but I don't use it.Pocketband is great, it's definitelty worth looking up and once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy to use. They have a free one and a paid one.
