My song "Claim" is finished. I got bold with this one. With the advice of a good friend I have done my best to add more instrumentation to this recording. This includes a bass line and lead guitar parts. Along with the standard overdubbing but I did not want to get too overboard with the vocal dubs in part because it was distracting to the instrumentation aspect of the song.

Other than that, it is well... in my mind a song that uses a lot of my current favorite buzz words and blends that poetic nature with the standard bluesy love song you'd expect from the correct era. Was going for a juxtaposition of sound with meaning in a way.

I'll leave the term "retractive fallacy" up for opinion on what you think I mean, because it's a made up word! What really matters is what you think it means. ;)

Lyrics:
(Intro Guitar)
(Verse)
I've' been to the east, I've been to the west
and I know that I've seen the very best
How can I claim that what I say is true?
It's because the evidence is you.

(Chorus)
If you're talking truth I know what you mean
Don't you dare bring me your retractive fallacy.

(Verse)
Never seen a flat square that didn't have four sides,
never thought I knew love till I looked into your eyes.
Can't imagine existing in another life,
That's how I know some day you'll be my wife.

(Chorus)
If you're talking truth I know what you mean
Don't you dare bring me your retractive fallacy.

(Solo Breakdown)

(Verse)
Ive' been to the east, I've been to the west
and I know that I've seen the very best
How can I claim that what I say is true?
It's because the evidence is you.

(Chorus)
If you're talking truth I know what you mean
Don't you dare bring me your retractive fallacy.

(Verse)
Never seen a flat square that didn't have four sides,
never thought I knew love till I looked into your eyes.
Can't imagine existing in another life,
That's how I know some day you'll be my wife.
That's how I know some day you'll be my wife.
That's how I know some day you'll be my wife.
