The shadows really add dimension in this one. She looks good in color. Too bad she died by laser gun?

David Samuel Partamyan  Thanks)) This was one of my first tries of using sharper shadows instead of the softer ones you see on the characters, which I have stopped using completely since they look pretty embarrassing and unconvincing to me.  (Jul 16, 2012, 05:46 PDT)

Gabrielle  I'm pretty unskilled at drawing so to me, the soft shadows just look like shading to add dimension. So you draw with a mouse? Doesn't it move too fast to draw accurately? I mean, obviously not, but I don't get it! I'm impressed and perplexed!  (Jul 20, 2012, 19:41 PDT)

David Samuel Partamyan  It's really hard to get the knack of it, since it requires the use of completely different muscles and techniques than ordinary drawing, but it's fun once you know how to do it, and much less time-consuming.  (Jul 21, 2012, 04:02 PDT)

Cool shadows with this one, David! This broad kind of reminds me of Betty Boop. Any relation?

David Samuel Partamyan  Well, aside from the fact that she's pretty much the role model for all my female characters in paintings and I was aiming for particular similarity in this one - no, none, you're clearly and sadly and completely and utterly mistaken))  (Jul 15, 2012, 16:32 PDT)
