A short song. It was written at around the same time "The Beaches" was. That's why the theme (and quality) is somewhat similar.

Lyrics:
The sun was up so I stepped outside
And you told me to stay there
I couldn't talk, my tongue was tied
So I couldn't lie

I looked so deep into your eyes
I almost felt I was drowning
Like I was caught beneath the tides
And I couldn't rise

The storm passed and I found your heart
And I hope that you found mine
So the tides had played their part
And you played yours too

Belgion gave feedback to Benci for “Slow Tides”:
After listening to Raed, my expectations for music have reached - what I thought to be - an Everstian high. I did not expect to ever be as erected by another piece of music as I was when I first heard Raed's "I no she wants be back." However, I can say that this song, without a doubt, puts Raed's material in a firm second place, and takes up its own rightful place in the lead. I truly though that Raed's rhythms and catchy hooks were the creamiest things that my pants have experienced. But now I can firmly and girthly say that "Slow Tides" is a masterpiece of modern music, and truly proves the point that its not the length that matters, but how one uses it. Well done, my friend, well done!

Benci  I thank you most graciously for your strong compliments. I am stunned by the comparison between my music and that of Raed's. After still flowing, I thought Raed was an artist unmatched. Not in style, or class. His music, historic pillars of art, has and always had the most superior qualities of poetic eccentricity, and euphoric rhythms. Ultimately, I must admit your compliments were beyond generous and exaggerated, but they are much appreciated as well.  (Jun 01, 2012, 10:06 EDT)

The accompaniment could benefit from some texturing but I like the basic idea

Real nice progression here. You also seem to have developed a greater ear for melody through your voice. I like the style of this as well as "Beaches"
