Lyrics:
Some People pray because of culture and comfort, some go through motions though they don't believe in heaven or hell. Some people skip it all together--Shirley isn't like the others though; she wants to live forever but she needs to rebel.

Shirley's mom and dad had raised her Baptist and she spat it out, but uncertainty scared her so she went with denial. Now she's browsing through her options on her Macbook at a Starbucks, and she's found a one true faith that fits her personal style.

Shirley found her faith on Wikipedia, she's looking down her nose at all the brainwashed masses, they won't ever know the sense of grace that Shirley found on Wikipedia, with every link it grows and she can't wait to let her social network know.

Shirley's got a list of major holidays that coincides with every obligation that she might want to skip--yeah, but if you don't believe that Shirley's serious, she'll prove it to you: just check out the bitchin' new tattoo on her hip.

And it's way easier to disregard the terrible injustices in life now that she knows it's all a mystical plan, but don't you worry, Shirley's total sense of oneness with the universe is totally, like, way beyond description, man, you don't understand!

She found her faith on Wikipedia, she's looking down her nose at all the brainwashed masses, they won't ever know the sense of grace that Shirley found on Wikipedia, with every link it grows and she can't wait to let her social network know--alright let's go!

Shirley isn't like the others, she isn't like the others, no she isn't like the others, Shirley isn't like the others, Shirley isn't like the others, no she's one enlightened mother fucker!

Shirley found her faith on Wikipedia, she's looking down her nose at all the brainwashed masses, they won't ever know the sense of grace that Shirley found on Wikipedia, with every link it grows and she can't wait to let her social network know--alright, one more time now...

Shirley found her faith on Wikipedia.
She's looking down her nose at all the brainwashed masses.
And she knows she's got it all figured out.
Wololo.

I can't help but be reminded by the Barenaked Ladies by this song. I laughed when I read the lyrics. This is a really funny and pretty well done song. I like the vocals, but they need to be a bit more on the beat. Sometimes there is a miniscule deviation from the digital drums and it gets distracting. Another thing is that the guitar tone could use some tweaking because, as the only guitar part in the song, it needs to stick out and sound good to the ear. This is all opinion of course, but I think these things could really send the song into overdrive.
