It's sharp!

Lyrics:
Well, it doesn’t' make you Yoda, 'cause you move shit with your mind
And it doesn't make you Gandhi, ‘cause you don't fight back

And it doesn’t mean you’re Biggie because you got a lazy eye
And it doesn’t make you're sober ‘cause you don’t smoke crack

Well despite you're suspecting, this is not what you suspect-
And it doesn’t’ make ya dirty ‘cause you’re shavin' at the Bibliotech

Chorus:

It ain’t easy, if it was really easy,
You would not be cheatin me
And telling me that I still need you

It ain’t over, if it was really over,
You would not be holdin’ her,
And telling me that I still owe you

Ah, just because I gottcha clappin' doesn’t mean you should applaud
And just because my chicks is bouncin’ doesn’t mean that I’m a fraud

Quit your crying 'bout the Karma, go to Kashi for to die
Because, you probably think its smoke, but that's just Shiva in the skies

And just because you got my queen, that doesn’t mean that I’m in check,
But if you ask for me tomorrow, I’ll be shavin’ at the Bibliotech

Chorus x 2

+

I need you x 5

Mmm, I'm really digging that intro riff. Vocals are solid. The vocalist has a nice "punk" feel too him. Lyrics are good. I'm a bigger fan of the verse compared to the chorus, but that might be because I'm a bigger hip-hop fan compared to rock. Mixing is well done, and previewing the rest of the songs off this album I'd have to say this is my favorite tune. Well done.

WalaWalaWala  Sweet. I like the verse better than the verse better too, but think that it's a nice contrast... Maybe you could do a remix, or use the hook in one of yours??? Some collab...!  (Mar 06, 2013, 01:38 PST)

Slopejaw  Aha that's a cool idea, but it's not really the style I'm used to working with. I usually start 50 or so beats before I get with one I finish up, so I can't commit to something like that. Keep making jams like this and I'll hit you up if I get inspired!  (Mar 06, 2013, 15:43 PST)

WalaWalaWala  Which style? We have a few. Might be fun to mess around with some of our tunes? You might like this one: http://www.feed-forward.net/w.1002_Anchor_ Thank you.  (Mar 06, 2013, 15:49 PST)

Slopejaw  I do like that one, I already commented on it ;). By "not my style" I mean "anything not dubstep/grime". I dunno, I just always seem to make tunes like that haha.  (Mar 06, 2013, 15:59 PST)

WalaWalaWala  That's right. Well, enjoy. It is a free download, and this is it's companion piece: www.feed-forward.net/w.1077_Q_ Still, could do something with a hook. Just a thought! Thank you.  (Mar 06, 2013, 16:01 PST)

You guys are the cat's meow -- seriously though these are great lyrics, if I do say so myself. The actual mix is fine, but I'm not buying the performance and the vocals sound a little bit strained to me.

Lots of win here, but could we just try to tone the percussion down 1/4 of a cunt hair so the mids and his (and los) for that matter can shine???

Grosse Dank,

I like this! If I heard this on the radio, I would have thought it was the Beastie Boys at first. I like the chorus, it is a nice contrast against the verse.

WalaWalaWala  Thanks, man :D It's a free download :D You're right -- Verses were inspired as such, plus based on some experiences I had bumming around India for a while years back... Chorus inspired by Octopus's Garden by Richard Starkey.  (Nov 27, 2011, 11:04 PST)
