So great! I had not heard this one in a long hot minute, but its very avant garde in a good way without losing me!

Keep them coming!

Chanting over crazy rhythm pulses has never sounded cooler, maybe post the lyrics?

Hey, man you've inspired me -- I'm getting into some of this microtonal type of stuff now, thanks. Here's a microtonal, microtemporal piece I wrote recently: www.feed-forward.net/w.4328_Celebration_of_Benci_part_1_Warning_Expe

It's a little weird, but of you get a chance, let me know what you think!

Thanks,

cool stuff man kind of reminds me of Metal Machine Music by Lou Reed in a way...what are the lyrics? what's making that clock/change machine noise? sounds spooky too!

placement93  This tune is a few years old and I was on a boatload of drugs when I wrote it. Lyrics were on-the-fly after laying down the rest of the track, so your guess as to what I was saying is as good as mine. I can tell you that most of it is "Everything is changing / Everything is dying / One last (...) / Everything dies". Obviously, it was done at a pretty dark point in my life.

As for the beat (if it can be called that?), again, I really don't know. I've recorded hundreds of hours of what I call "environmental noise" on handheld tape decks, from doors closing to cats meowing to whatever all else for years. Much of that has been chopped up and categorized in libraries that I use to make loops, BUT, I've also used a lot of mass-produced prefab stuff. I have no idea what I was doing here. Might have been one or the other, might have been a mixture of both.  (May 06, 2012, 18:17 PDT)
