I'd give this genre a name like "neo-classic rock." Pretty reminiscent of The Strokes. The fuzz vocals and bass lines are particularly effective, but I'm having a hard time figuring out where they were going with the lyrics.

Thank you, placement93. The tune was definitely inspired by The Strokes, so you picked that up, quite well. I like your genre, too. the lyrics were in large part reality based. There was a lot of tension in the band at that time, in part because of a love triangle between a few of the members and a girl from outside the band. Thanks for listening!
