love it ! would like some variation in the beat although it is great being made from your own recorded samples.

Christie Grinham  Thanks, I didn't want to vary the beat too much so that the focus stays on the bass guitars, but feedback is always appreciated! Glad you like it!  (Jul 12, 2011, 09:50 PDT)

Nice, nice :) Did you use a hand-drum for the beat, or a DAW? If so, which one?

Christie Grinham  The beat is made by recording lots of sounds from a piano, like slamming the lid and pressing the pedals, put in to Hydrogen and sequenced. Thanks for the feedback! Glad you like it.  (Jul 12, 2011, 07:20 PDT)

WalaWalaWala  Interesting techniques. You're welcome. What did you use to mix it?

Christie Grinham  All my music is recorded and mixed using Ardour on Ubuntu, using an Edirol UA-1000 and an Allen & Heath GL2.  (Jul 12, 2011, 08:31 PDT)

WalaWalaWala  Is that about the same as GarageBand would you say? Better, worse, don't know? -Shoham  (Jul 12, 2011, 09:20 PDT)

Christie Grinham  It's more along the lines of Protools. I prefer it to protools but it currently doesn't have midi support, though this is coming in the next version very soon. http://ardour.org/node  (Jul 12, 2011, 09:48 PDT)
