Lyrics:
You're girlfriend, she's in the way
You're best friendship's in decay
And you no longer long to say
One more underused cliche

One more cigarette
One more chance to forget
One more last regret
Then you're gone
One more 'til the break of dawn

You're girlfriend She doesn't care
You're best friend he isn't there and you
And you want something that just ain't there
One more great abyss to stare

On more little cig'
One more little gig
One more chance to figure out-
Just why you need all that clout...

You're girlfriend, she's all alone
You're best friend, he's an unkown
And you don't even own your own moan

And I'm gone, gone gone
Gone, gone gone
Gooooone...
Yeah I'm gone!

He's gone!

The Middlemen  Thanks! I don't know who they are, but I'll have to check them out for sure. It's a name your price download, with no minimum-- so feel free to take a copy, if you wish. We actually got this one on the local clear channel alt-rock station in Pittsburgh several times. Of course, they don't tell you when they are going to play your music, or that they did -- a-holes!!! Thanks again :) -Ari  (Aug 08, 2011, 19:13 PDT)

Ryan Toth  granbury texas. we paid 10k to do advertising to promote a music fest we put on. they played a lot of the bands we had booked on their local show and put an add out for us that had lot's of air time. in the end it was only good for the bands that got played. the advertisement didn't help our even much  (Aug 09, 2011, 10:53 PDT)

This song is off the hook-- pure The Strokes/White Town ("Your Woman").

Daryl C. Hill gave feedback to The Middlemen for “Starstruck”:
Hey, Guys,
I have given feedback for this song, already. But it popped up and was begging me to listen again. As I was listening I was trying to think, exactly, where this style fits. What scene would find itself enhanced? Finally, I knew exactly where it would fit. James Bond is where. Nicely in the middle of the long list of movies. Casino Rial as Bond is chasing after her fearing the her life is in danger.
A contemporary Bond in Venus steps into a tavern to avoid detection and there are the Middlemen, performing "Starstruck." What do you think? I think it could happen. I love the song.

Artem Shimanski gave feedback to The Middlemen for “Starstruck”:
This is real good. I really like whoever is doing the vocals, it's different but it works really well with the music. If I were to compare this to something I'd say it sounds kinda like the Strokes. Which is great, they're a good band. Overall real good song, I like your guys' style of music and it all comes together nicely.

The Middlemen  Thank you Artem (Is that Turkish?). It's a free download-- we're definitely inspired by The Strokes, and this song especially.  (Apr 21, 2011, 09:58 PDT)

Really diggin the vocals. I like the fuzz and the voice especially. The breakdowns are very cool as well. Probably one of the better songs I've heard on this site. Keep it up!

The Middlemen  Thanks. It's free, too. I like this production too, which I don't always on tunes we do.  (Apr 18, 2011, 19:51 PDT)

Daryl C. Hill gave feedback to The Middlemen for “Starstruck”:
Middlemen,
Those damned women! They are our pain. They are our inspiration. The pain they inflict, we are compelled to put to song and word.
A great tune with energy and meaningful lyrics. Lots of feeling in this song. A sense of urgency. A time of and for reflection, then, perhaps, a search of a new girlfriend and best friend.

Daryl C. Hill  I am not sure what it is that he is telling me? Copulate first or acquire capital first, or is it copulating to acquire capital? Now, I am really confused.  (Apr 17, 2011, 00:09 PDT)

The Middlemen  See this: http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/joseph-ducreux-archaic-rap

Some scholars have translated the source text "Fuck bitches make money" (lil wayne, "Money on My Mind") to "Disregard women, acquire capital". My understanding is a bit more ambigous. It's part of an internet meme.  (Apr 17, 2011, 05:22 PDT)

Daryl C. Hill  Thank you, Ari,
I had to google meme. I have led a very sheltered life and it seems the equation you are speaking of is always reversed in my case. Or I might have a good hold on, "Love Bitches, Get Fucked." I Bet I could start a fan club of that truism. Maybe it is actually this, "Love Bitches, GIVE Money, Get Fucked." It would all fit on a bumper sticker so I think that I just got rich.  (Apr 17, 2011, 15:45 PDT)
