Chris Hoffmeister  Thanks! and yeah, it's all me. I have to work on my mixing chops a bit but I think I'm improving.  (May 16, 2013, 12:11 PDT)

Airy stuff. I like it, Chris!

I feel as if the composition and performance is very solid. I like the direction you took it around 1:45 -- very true to what I think the concept is based on the tags and title. Cool use of the chorus effect on this track. I like the little drum rolls as well.

I feel as if you could add a bit more texture starting somewhere around 3:15 or so, keep building it up more until the change at 3:31.

I also dig the tension that you build here down the stretch and the finale. I like where this is going, man, keep going!

Thank you,
Shoham

JZC gave feedback to Chris Hoffmeister for “Fun.”:
I really liked this. very deep. I get the title "fun" once you hear 35 seconds to 45 seconds, but I'm not sure that it's the best way I'd describe the song. It's more powerful than that.
I like the transition at 1:20. then 1:44 and 2:14. great transitions!

Chris Hoffmeister  Thanks for the feedback! Yeah I agree about the title but I, call it a lack of creativity, just couldn't decide on anything else.  (Jan 28, 2013, 09:58 PST)

s.a. zober gave feedback to Chris Hoffmeister for “Fun.”:
Good piano work, my friend. I´d like to hear some more texturing ans layers, especially in the low end. The composition is really good over all, but it needs more bass, I think.

I liked the buildups you did, good dynamic changes. Looking forward to seeing where this one goes in the future!

Thank you,

Chris Hoffmeister  Thanks. Going through it I did mess around on some additional layers, specifically some more bass oriented stuff but I was having problems with other instruments getting lost in the mix. Maybe once my skill-sets improve I'll revisit it and try again!  (Jan 28, 2013, 10:01 PST)

I really enjoyed this. I like how the music really goes well with the cover art. Is that a beach? It's hard to tell. Very futurist...

Gabrielle gave feedback to Chris Hoffmeister for “Delusion's Illusion”:
Really pretty in the beginning and exciting then erie in the middle. I think the first part going into the second is a good transition since it slowly builds, but the second part has so much drama that going back into the first part towards the end maybe needs a more gradual transition to ease back into it, if that makes sense. If they will be three separate songs, though, they compliment each other well.

Chris Hoffmeister  Thanks for the input! Yeah, I definitely want to add more voices to the overall mix but basically I want to extend the beginning, add some different instruments to the first build up so it's not so repetitive and I'm not too sure what to do with the middle as of yet. I was kind of toying with the idea of keeping it so dramatic with a sudden ending, have that fade out and into the beginning melody but i'll mess around with your idea, see if I can come up with anything good.  (Jul 16, 2012, 18:33 PDT)

Beautiful little piece. Quite gentle and nice in the first part.

Almost disturbing in the second part, and then a very energetic finale. I love it. Keep going with this, I'm eager to see where it will go!

What did you use to make the strings, they sound good, especially for midi.

Thanks for writing this and sharing it as well,

Chase gave feedback to Bojko for “Carl Sagan's Green Dream”:
first of all i fuckin love carl sagan, this song is as chaotic as the cosmos he tried helped us understand, and it certainly has it's own sound to it, nice job, whatd you use to record it?
 Jun 17, 2012, 22:34 PDT
Bojko  thank you very much, used a tascam 8 track DP-02, my old Sigma acoustic guitar for rhythm guitar, my Rockwell Pro electric for lead guitar, my phone on speaker phone and me talking into a mic with a distortion effect for my friend and mine's conversation, and mic and distortion effect while hitting random percussion things and drum kit parts, and a uke with drumsticks for the percussion, and a cooking timer is in there too for good measure lol, glad you liked it!!!  (Jun 19, 2012, 15:25 PDT)

This is some wacky shit right here, but I like it!

"a random song title and then I made a song of it" I happen to think that this is a great method, and one that I have found helpful too.

Where did you get the voice over stuff from?

Like I said, this is some wacky shit, and like I said, it's my kind of wacky!
 May 26, 2012, 18:19 PDT
Bojko  lol thanks man uh the voice over was me calling my friend who gave me the title (and a one chord to use F). as the clock winded down on our contest I called him and put it on speaker phone and recorded our conversation in place of writing lyrics then i used the timer I had set as percussion, and hit some random drum set stuff around my room and recorded that cause i didn't have time to work out an actual drum part, probably for the best, that way i put more time into the mixing and had it done in time! thanks again man glad you liked it here's my buddys song his title or theme i gave him was "Drinking on memorial day" and he asked for a letter I said D so he wrote it in the key of D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3gIDGGOwms  (May 26, 2012, 22:58 PDT)

Bojko  it has more chords than F, just part of the contest was we gave each other one letter and that letter had to be the first chord or the key, then we gave each other titles etc....lol it was a friday, it was a lot of fun though!!  (May 26, 2012, 22:59 PDT)
