Slopejaw gave feedback to WalaWalaWala for “Razer”:
Mmm, I'm really digging that intro riff. Vocals are solid. The vocalist has a nice "punk" feel too him. Lyrics are good. I'm a bigger fan of the verse compared to the chorus, but that might be because I'm a bigger hip-hop fan compared to rock. Mixing is well done, and previewing the rest of the songs off this album I'd have to say this is my favorite tune. Well done.

WalaWalaWala  Sweet. I like the verse better than the verse better too, but think that it's a nice contrast... Maybe you could do a remix, or use the hook in one of yours??? Some collab...!  (Mar 06, 2013, 04:38 EST)

Slopejaw  Aha that's a cool idea, but it's not really the style I'm used to working with. I usually start 50 or so beats before I get with one I finish up, so I can't commit to something like that. Keep making jams like this and I'll hit you up if I get inspired!  (Mar 06, 2013, 18:43 EST)

WalaWalaWala  Which style? We have a few. Might be fun to mess around with some of our tunes? You might like this one: http://www.feed-forward.net/w.1002_Anchor_ Thank you.  (Mar 06, 2013, 18:49 EST)

Slopejaw  I do like that one, I already commented on it ;). By "not my style" I mean "anything not dubstep/grime". I dunno, I just always seem to make tunes like that haha.  (Mar 06, 2013, 18:59 EST)

WalaWalaWala  That's right. Well, enjoy. It is a free download, and this is it's companion piece: www.feed-forward.net/w.1077_Q_ Still, could do something with a hook. Just a thought! Thank you.  (Mar 06, 2013, 19:01 EST)

s.a. zober gave feedback to creosotemantra for “Reckless”:
Mellow tune. could use a little more low end, I think. I like the drums, though, very laid back, tasteful.

Good solid, songwriting. Loving the raunchy guitar solo here at 2:00 to 2:50 Wild harmonies on the outro too -- very nice! Thank you, Shoham

s.a. zober gave feedback to WalaWalaWala for “Razer”:
You guys are the cat's meow -- seriously though these are great lyrics, if I do say so myself. The actual mix is fine, but I'm not buying the performance and the vocals sound a little bit strained to me.

Lots of win here, but could we just try to tone the percussion down 1/4 of a cunt hair so the mids and his (and los) for that matter can shine???

Grosse Dank,

WalaWalaWala gave feedback to The Watermarks for “Run Away”:
I like the techno vibe on this tune, but I feel as if the vocals are being a little bit compromised with some of the effects you put on them.

Harmonies sound really good here in the middle, and the guitar solo is good as well. That's the only thing that's bothering me is that there's a little too much (I think) effects on the lead vocals, which otherwise sound QUITE good.

Thanks for sharing :)

I can't help but be reminded by the Barenaked Ladies by this song. I laughed when I read the lyrics. This is a really funny and pretty well done song. I like the vocals, but they need to be a bit more on the beat. Sometimes there is a miniscule deviation from the digital drums and it gets distracting. Another thing is that the guitar tone could use some tweaking because, as the only guitar part in the song, it needs to stick out and sound good to the ear. This is all opinion of course, but I think these things could really send the song into overdrive.

I like this! If I heard this on the radio, I would have thought it was the Beastie Boys at first. I like the chorus, it is a nice contrast against the verse.

WalaWalaWala  Thanks, man :D It's a free download :D You're right -- Verses were inspired as such, plus based on some experiences I had bumming around India for a while years back... Chorus inspired by Octopus's Garden by Richard Starkey.  (Nov 27, 2011, 14:04 EST)

Cool. Reminds me a lot of Elvis Costello and The Dead Milkmen.

I really like this style for you. I remember your song about Derivatives, and feel like this goes along well with that in spirit -- very smart lyrically, and very funny musically at the same time. I wish I could do both at the same time, I'm lucky when I do one half as well as you do.

What did you use to make this?

Ted Kindig  Thanks for the kind words WalaWalaWala, I love Elvis Costello and the Dead Milkmen!

I wrote the electronic parts in Anvil Studio, then mixed them with vocals, guitar and various audio plugins in Sony Acid.  (Nov 18, 2011, 18:21 EST)
