Brother Hawk gave feedback to The Middlemen for “The End”:
The song is cool, and I actually like the rawness of the recording.

The Middlemen  Thanks, man. I don't know what happened to the 'official' recording. It was a little more rocking, but I am glad you dig this one. Just me and a guitar, w/o the band...  (Mar 05, 2013, 09:50 PST)

The Middlemen gave feedback to Xack Fischer for “Wake Up, New Day”:
Cool vox! I like the production. Has something of a 1960's indie rock feel... Folksy, but gritty. I feel like the piano instrumental in the middle could be a little bit stronger.

Thank you.

a classic! I like the cover art you chose as well! what is it?
 Nov 12, 2012, 14:09 PST
WalaWalaWala  Thank you. I was just mentioning to J. Wager that he inspired me to make a slideshow including the historical figures that inspired this tune. This cover is called "The School of Athens" by Raphael (named after the mean Ninja Turtle). These are all famous philosophers, in the middles is So-Crates. Others include Pythagoras, Aristotle, and Archimedes. The models were in some cases artists, like Raphael himself, and Da Vinci who portrays Plato (the guy w/o hair in the middle with his hand up)  (Nov 12, 2012, 14:17 PST)

Thanks for the share. Very good lyrical flow; I'm always a sucker for anything historical sounding. I'll have to look up some of these references. Overall, the song sounds like Sublime had relations with The beatles in their rubber soul days, and this is their brainchild

WalaWalaWala  J. You're trying to get on my good, side, I think :) And it's working! I like the phrase "Had relations" -- very classy, I had to think about that one, for a second!  (Nov 11, 2012, 18:22 PST)

WalaWalaWala  On a note related to relations, I just met B.J. Clinton the other day in Downtown Pittsburgh. It was awesome, and I now have what they call "Mano de Clinton" -- there is no cure!!! Gracias... Wish I had a pic, but it is a real story...  (Nov 11, 2012, 18:39 PST)

J. Wager  Way cool! And I think it's hilarious you refer to him as "B.J." haha  (Nov 12, 2012, 12:50 PST)

WalaWalaWala  Hahaha! He was very nice to stop for like 30 minutes once everyone realized who was there and surrounded him. You've actually inspired me to make a slideshow for this piece, and to include all of the historical references I had in mind when I wrote it.  (Nov 12, 2012, 14:10 PST)

WalaWalaWala  Thank you, thank you! If you get this message, maybe a collab is in the works for this?!?!?! I think it's a little slow, for instance, but your I think that your Rugrats, fun-time style could augment this nicely, too... Thank you, -Shoham  (Oct 24, 2012, 18:51 PDT)
